I'm not sure, some people might pick sides silently, but they maybe don't want to post which side they are on since that's just risking creating a rift which is obviously not something anyone wants.

I don't know anything about Khmer.  A guy who lived in the town my community college was in invented this machine to detect land mines safely and he used it in Khmer to help the population there cuz there are a bunch of landmines in the ground...it's bad.

Also, my uni has the Center for Southeast Asian Studies and you can learn Khmer language (as well as Thai and Tagalog).  Pretty sweet stuff.
