no, it can't be.
I don't know, DDay lives in new jersey, there's no way he hasn't heard it before.
Also while the song is pretty obviously stupid, the video itself, and that douchebaggy face david lee roth makes is so irritating and stupid. It's hard to imagine people watched that and were like "Haha oh man, those van halen boys are so fuckin cool."
It made me think of all the stupid shit we have today, and all the terrible bands people incessantly make fun of, but that shit has always been around. I guess this band solidified that feeling for me because I kind of grew up with that "era" of music, it was the main type of music that my mom and her friends listened to in high school, so it just kind of occupies that space where before you were really able to judge music it was just "the cool music" or what-have-you. Looking back it was not just stupid, but objectively dumb and terrible. I don't know why it spurred a train of thought like that but it did.
I don't think the song is bad (witch yes I heard it countless times after all I do live in New jersey and I too grew up with it.) and the video is bit creepy but not bad it seems to be on par with the 80's and early 90's. The song uses the word jump as a metaphor to taking a risk sadly he saying to take risk to go out with him . but the song is good in my book and catchy.
But let's talk about his newest single OMG I hate this song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WfQ-hV3WtA Tattoo.
If this is the best in the album they should of never did another there like gun and roses and there Chinese Shitocracy.
all it is is ruining there creditability and leads me to think badly on them.
But I did hear that the new album from Van Halen had some good songs but this is coming from a man that said the song isn't that bad other then the lyrics and I tend to disagree with that.
On that note I will leave you with this quote and will like it spread around like an internet meme. "Show me your dragoon magic"
