Yeah, I want to clean up a little. Drule went through archived sections to see which of them could be unhidden, but I think they're better off separate.

I'm coming out of lurking to say that I think the childboards are a little distracting and could be better off on their own, especially since they're read-only anyway. Unless we're planning on resurrecting the questions and answers forum I don't see a reason why it should be so upfront and center.

I've notified RMN as well in case any former SWers wanted to return. Of course, many of us here post on both sites.

i wonder what dada plans for the site. for one will he listen if we ask to return the very simple spoiler tag, and maybe some goodies like dohtml to embed stuff. It's profitable for everyone.

The problem is that SMF just really sucks and doesn't really make this very easy. I'm going to investigate a possible move (YES YET AGAIN) to MyBB. They have a post converter from SMF to their format, so it might not be too difficult.

It's ok, I don't think anyone actually has any problem with transferring forum software. It's just some hours of downtime.

Yeah, I'm fine with transferring to another board software. I don't think anyone will mind the downtime much. It's not like this place is bustling with activity nowadays.

This is something I'm gonna have to figure out first, though. The main question is whether it performs well on huge databases. But if possible I'd like to do it sometime since SMF just isn't flexible enough to do interesting things with.
