It has been a while since I've been here. It feels like. Gamershima just dropped and the only survivors are various pixel.pngs.


I've been working on my project during what I felt was quite possibly the best time on GW to be a member. There were so many pieces of inspiration coming at you from all directions, art forum, lit forum, music forum. It was a great time to be around. Steel was around doing his shenanigains on the forum and irc. Whenever I open this project and work on it, it reminds me of all of that, countless times and all of the people. I have a really really bad memory, but when I have something that triggers all of the memories it's pretty crazy, man. So in a way, to me, when I work on this it reflects what kind of content GW produced. I'm making an RPG.

Like I said before it's an RPG. I feel like my time spent on GW over the span of +5 years was all about trying to understand basic design mechanics to certain video games. I feel like RPG indie games that originate from RM are underrepresented and kind of a joke. Simply because of games with poor quality and style such as Aveyond and Deadly Sin. Those games are simply built around RTP and standard graphics to simply produce money.


I want people to play something original, something new and unique that does things differently. My inspirations and things that I base a lot off of isn't Final Fantasy, but games like Mega Man, Contra, Shinobi. I want to have big bosses and really fast paced things happening but it just happens to be an RPG.


I'm kind of cruising around the internet pan handling to get donations and people to back up the project. I need donations for an original composer, because I feel the work they do demand compensation. New art tools for better quality. Basically the plan is to allow me to work what I feel comfortable in, which is rm2k3 and actually transfer that content over to the new RM program coming out soon, so it can be commercialized.

So you know, if you have a few bucks I'd appreciate. If you can't, I understand we all can't be Jeffs riding around in our gold stretch limos. But if you drop a few links to your friends, tweet, facebook whatever. That's just as helpful.


GW has given me a lot. I wouldn't even be considering doing anything with this medium and look at it as an art style if it weren't for Gamingworld. I wouldn't be here, I would probably be somewhere doing something incredibly boring. And something like that I can't really express in typing or anything else.
