Yeah, I have recently gotten back into playing that game rather obsessively, but would be willing to give up playing with all the mods (as much) if I had other folks to play with.

So I am willing to companion your minecrafting, if you already know of a server to play on.

no server at this point. worst case i might eventually start paying again. especially in september when i'm not out 11.5 hours a day.

if I split with a friend it's really only the cost of buying one less lunch a month.

Well, it wouldn't be too hard to persuade me to chip in on the cost of a server, as long as the service accepts payments in the form of Paypal.

I would just hate to pay monthly for a server if we end up being the only two people ever playing on it. I mean why pay monthly for 2-player minecraft when you can play single-player for free?

I'm still jobless so I wouldn't be able to chip in, but I'd be able to play on occasion. Though I generally enjoy the thrill of murdering wandering players which I wouldn't be able to do in this game for obvious reasons.

Fantastic, just tried it out and it is indeed smooth.

Not sure of the version, it is whatever version the default client automatically asks you to update to. (It's funny, I just today realized the launcher I have for the technic pack actually installs it for you without ever interfering with your default mc build whatsoever.)

Well I made a map of the place and the center would be m house also it's near spawn.

Also just add sheep to my ranch all I need it cows.

since it was a feat to get 2 cows in to my ranch without a lot of seepitch and I got 4 to fellow me I took 2 cows to you EvilDemonCreature but don't thank me to much I egged your houses and hanged up few vines for some fun. so count it as a peace offering.

Update:

Forget that I have a ranch that defies all logic but for the sheer fact I can hold wheat in there and crash the game (maybe it's the server.) means something.

I kinda want to do this again, because playin with you all made this game fun. but it requires so much dexterity, maybe I'll be able to if I can effectively set it up with a gamepad somehow

1.3 is supposed to come out soon. Likely to come out in 1-3 weeks is my estimate. Lets hope I don't think like Valve.

You could reset, but I'll likely only join if you use at least the 12W26A dev version. Since I've basically just been playing the dev versions. this is the version I'll stick to if you start up a server (with the exception of when 1.3 comes out)

The current list of notable bugs in the current dev version seem minor IMHO. http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Version_history/Development_versions

NVM, I just played it and ~~apparently there are no sheep or chickens as far as I can tell in the latest dev version.~~ nope nvm again found chickens, just not in the plains biome.

i'm not going to bother with a reset. i reset the last server too often. it'd be good to keep stuff for a while.

As for 1.3 i'm going to wait for the official release. mostly because i'm lazy and don't feel like spending time putting up a dev verison in the mean time

Well, I figured out that version 1.3 is coming out august 1st according to Jeb. So we got a while. I didn't really participate in the current map but I might choose to explore it later. I like to explore other peoples stuff.
