it's precisely this kind of stupid passive-aggressive stuff that makes me believe you're insincere. you should be able to tell why vell's post is not the same at all as your post. using the information she had at the time it was perfectly reasonable for her to conclude that you were talking about her considering she had also posted bentos in the topic. I thought the exact same thing. so it turned out you were not talking about her, but does that invalidate her reaction? and does it take away the fact there's someone else you needlessly insulted and refused to apologize to until it was repeatedly and unequivocally requested?

That was in the bullet train! It was about a $10 lunch iirc.

They always give you a hot towel when you take the shinkansen/hispeed train during breakfast/lunch/dinner hours. It's like you're expected to eat. (although last time I went I had a 1st class ticket so idk if they do it in second class too, but I think they do.) To the point where I'd say you should take the shinkansen once just to have lunch there as a tourist attraction.
