It's grey as hell over here and super overpopulated, but I have so many friends and there's so much to do I'm having the best time. Wouldn't live here forever, but I love it right now.

anyone know anything about denver/boulder?
denver's got some cool stuff I guess, but if you're gonna move from the midwest why not go all the way and move to a coast rather than staying in the middle states? the northeast and the west coasts are pretty different from the rest of the country, so it might be more of a new experience. it doesn't matter, just a thought! I mean denver's not like columbus OH or anything, I'm sure it'll have plenty of new stuff

by the way, have anything you can tell me about indianapolis besides 'it's horrible don't go there'? I already talked to warp about it a little bit

Maybe the west coast someday, but its more of that the west coast is expensive, and I'm originally from the east coast and have a lot of family around that area.  a friend might be going to grad school in denver, and other life things are kind of pointing me towards that at the moment

I don't know if I said anything specifically aobut indianapolis, but its the only place in Indiana worth living, if that's any consilation.  It's not nearly as shitty as people say, and if you're in the city, there is a lot to do and its actually pretty big. It's no chicgao but it beats the hell out of any other midwest city.  there is no sprawling suburbs though, it just kind of, stops being city and goes to farmland.  there is nothing outside of indie.  never go to louisville.  you will die.

(I don't actually live in Indianapolis, I'm currently living in northern indiana which is pretty terrible)

I would recommend that you take as few things with you as possible when you move.  When I moved from Omaha to San Diego for graduate school, I only brought 2 dufflebags of things with me, aside from my bicycle.  While that might be on the extreme side, it is a decision I have yet to regret, and there are probably many things you might be surprised how well you can do without.
don't know why I didn't respond/see this post before

for all my 4 years of undergrad, i lived basically with anything i could fit in my car, and not a penny more, so I'm totally planning on keeping it that way (with the possible exception of my musical instruments, although I'm willing to take only my acoustic if I have to to keep it light etc).  its the way to go though.     My bicycle isa piece of trash, so i'll just donate it someone and get a new one.  (part of my appeal to denver is the landscape and maybe doing some biking as well.)

london at least has a reasonable summer. it is too busy or something for me though - it feels old and heaving and festering. glad you're having fun - you're from...nz, right? why did you come over to england?

Yeah it's starting so warm up now and I brought a bike so that should be cool. Um cause I was living in Canada last year and I love travelling/I'm not ready to go home. I've booked so many trips around Europe already. Should be over here for a few years so hit me up if you're ever around.

I pop down to that london a couple of times a month as my best bud lives there (just moved to Old Street). Wanna move there at some point, but more like Notting Hill, Camden or Brick Lane, because I'm an annoying hippy. should set up a sw uk meet or something at somepoint.

I work on old street and live at Angel just around the corner, which is an awesome place. I love Mexican food and there's like four restaurants so it's basically paradise haha a ton of cool bars too. Yeah let's do an awkward meet up haha Fridays are usually good for me.

Angel? wow, I grew up there in Islington. Went back about a year ago, friend dragged my to some goth bar down there. Everything looked so new and modern compared to what I use to remember.. the town I mean, not the goth bar.
