Hey thanks for entering the jam and actually making something, AND sticking around! You're like a model new salty member.

That is a good question re. jam frequency. I don't necessarily want to be the person who organises it every time because I'd like to not exempt myself from entering but I don't mind making promo materials like I did this time. Maybe someone who is super-driven and productive like denzquix might be up for it but then it would seem wrong to deny any member from voting.

I think maybe around Christmas might be a good time as people generally have time off to sit on their backsides and get fat. We'll see how the voting for the current one goes. I am going to make a post encouraging people to write mini-reviews of all the games and then state 3 games in order of preference that they enjoyed then tally them that way. This way only people who have played and commented on the games can contribute votes and it's not just a faceless forum poll which can be easily polarised.

It's not like we need a jam to make games also, perhaps we should start some collab groups going. I know that myself and inri are going to continue our efforts to actually make a more complete game and I guess that was borne out of the chance to collab in the jam. If any of you are wanting to use Unity to make something I'd happily contribute 3D models and artwork.

Getting this place productive again was the main aim of our first jam. There are some really great artists in our midst so we definitely have to keep the fire burning.

heloooo nurse!

welcome to saltw, please enjoy yr stay, we are a humble little cult but we have pics/vids of obscure and forgotten media and occasionally people put out little outsider oddities in "videogame" form.  mostly this place is pretty quiet but I think I heard someone use the word "community revival" in reference to the jam, which seems like a pretty apt description/noble goal

I can't speak for everyone, but for my part making a thing for the jam was a real blast (haha my first time actually being a ~content producer~), and if this happened again a few months down the line I'd totally participate again

in the meanwhile, if you're looking for people to help you out with little things you wanna do, this is definitely a ripe opportunity to scope out who's who

That sounds good to me, I'll be there!  And about the community work, sounds good.  Maybe I'll be able to find a cozy corner with some friends and projects in here somewhere.

Probably will make one of those tonight.  Should have an update with less bugs and an additional special ingredient and smoother trannies.

GOOD TO MEET YOUS

yo nurse oats. I'm from philly too. there were lots of us here at one time . . .

we definitely should do another jam, maybe with more clarity and completed projects since we've got some experience with it now! I can help with organization and materials.

Super  :)

Leafo was p. great with helping set up a jam page but we should defo keep the competition salty.

We should defo keep making theme announcement videos as it makes us look less like a shack of loonies in the middle of a salt desert.
