i generally just google for youtube downloader and look for the less sketchy sites.
 
really the best thing is to just record your screen since you can record what you want, get 1080p, and make cuts easily, but uh that requires software like Camtasia or w/e

ok so that was a spam account and I've banned it but in case anyone wants to know, I use this plugin for Firefox to download videos off of youtube. There's an extension like that for Chrome too but you need to manually install it since Chrome is a Google property and Youtube is also a Google property so no youtube downloader allowed on the Chrome plugins marketplace.
