yeah i liked it. it wasnt the worst episode ever, but then again wasn't the best either. I really do wish the next episode shows a lot of ichigo. i wanna see his fight

actually if don't even needed to have watched the whole episode to know why there abillites were sealed, remember the episode neer the beginning where Renji and Ichigo fight for the first time? or the second time, i'm not entirely sure, Renji mentions that when Vice captain class or above go to the human world there power is limited as to not cause problems there and i think thats why Ichigo's powers were having an effect on Orohime and Chad, because his powers weren't limited So prolonged exposure was causing them to gain power.

They can't break it without permission, he just didn't need to and almost died as a result.

If what Swordfish said is true, then Ikkaku didn't need to break it because he never had a limit. Ikkaku is 3rd seat, so I don't think it would apply to him.

Please notice that the pretty boy shinigami wasn't shown doing the limit thing, only the boy captain(i can't remember his name, so shoot me), Renji and Matsumoto were shown to do that and there all captain class and above. No point mentioning Rukia since she was unconscious by this time. so that kinda proves it even more that what i said was true, i can't go back and watch that bit since those episodes are on a disk and i have lost it)

I've been wondering why Ichigo's powers weren't limited when he went back in the world, do you think its because he is a human and thus they have no jurisdiction over him? Also why do you think he had Shinigami powers in the first place (not the ones he gained from Rukia, if you remember, it was said that he had is own ).

P.S. i know why he has a hollow within.

PS. Why he has a hollow within was revealed like 100 episodes ago gj.

Also Ichigo's powers aren't limited because he isn't part of the 13 Protection Squads, and Rukia's aren't because she isn't a ranking officer. Ichigo has Shinigami powers mostly just because of his immense spirit force and because his dad was one. (this is speculation) And yea Ikkaku and that other guy are ranked 3rd and 5th seat so they don't have limits either.

Maybe it was finally revealed in manga but I wouldn't know because I haven't been reading the manga for a few months now.

But yeah, it hasn't been revealed in anime.

Well, it's a possibility but I doubt it. Unless that's how every Vaizard get their powers.

Yeah that might be it, but it has never been confirmed (I don't believe this is the reason myself).

Actually i thought evil bob hit it on the nail. I can't remember exactly but i do know i read some where that it was gained when Ichigo was turning into a hollow (do you think he would have turned into a Menos? or something of that caliber?) i think it was Wikipedia that said that.

That really is the most logical option to think, even though it is a theory, it really has logic to it.
I mean, when Ichigo was gaining his shinigami powers back, the chain of fate nearly eroded, and the hollow mask came first.
Then he fought it off and the mask kept coming back.
Even though this is a theory, seems very logical to me.
P.S This doesn't really need a tag, since all this shit is in like, episode 19 - 30.

Thus why it was revealed about 100 episodes ago.

To be frank I wouldn't be suprised if all if all of the Vaizard achieved their status this way, as it was never really explained if the Shinigami were people who died, and thus had their chain things eaten away and/or recieved a soul burial.
