What is a good site to go for to get some XP themes?  I use the classic windows theme as of now but after looking at some of these and orgasming a couple of times I think it's time for me to get a neat theme.  Thanks!
First off, you need to install a hacked uxtheme.dll (don't worry, it's easy).  Go to this site: http://www.neowin.net/forum/lofiversion/index.php/t339820.html and they'll give you the DLL and instructions on installing it and the themes you'll find.As for the themes, you are looking for WINDOWS VISUAL STYLES.  The place I go to get them is http://www.deviantart.com and they give you another suggestion on the site which has the DLL file on it.EDIT:  It's also a good a good idea to turn on clear type when using visual themes, because they are generally optimized for it.  My suggestion for that is to go here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx and download and run the power toy labled "Clear Type Tuner Power toy.  It's a tiny download, it's easy to run, and it makes sure that the windows clear type is optimized for your preferences.  The other power toys are very good quality too.

The setting sun was staining the far reaches of the plain, its hue closer to blood than vermilion. The wind snarled like a beast across the barren sky. On the narrow road that cut through a sea of grass, high enough to hide all below the man's ankles, the lone horse and rider ceased their advance as if forestalled by the wall of wind gusting straight at them. - Chapter One p. 9, Vampire Hunter D, by Hideyuki Kikuchi.

Just reformatted, so I decided to go ahead and do a bit of editing my Windows XP, here's what it looks like now:
"If evil truly exists, it has been bred from the heart of men."
"Humans are lone animals living in society."

I started using bblean and I think this is a setup I like. Its useful, informative, minimalistic, and very sleek looking. I plan on changing the colours around because it is the default and I think its too dark for my tastes, but as of now its about the functionality.

And leafo, what is that showing what you're playing. It looks very nice and I could use some more things like that on my desktop.

Longhorn 4074 start button is superior. And what can I say, I like that wallpaper and it goes good with a blue theme.

Also: Updated the first post with some info about the hide tag.

It's a never-ending quest to find the perfect theme, which is pretty much impossible because as my mood or interest changes, I'd want my theme to reflect that.
(changed to a longhorn Milestone 6 background, too lazy to screen/upload it)

He is using foobar, with columns UI. His own buttons, and album list/art plugin. Highly customized  :rite:

Sorry Stads, but Longhorn 4074 used the ulgier Slate theme when not in glass mode.
So technically that would be 4008's start button.

You're right but it was actually 4015. :p
Either way, back to Tempest and a generic pretty leaf wallpaper.

Yeah, I figured out the foo_toast. Its pretty cool, it would be cooler if I could figure out how to make it stay there all the time.

It doesnt do that, but there are blackbox plugins for doing that.

And if you can only find winamp plugins that you like, then pickup the winamp api emulator for foobar, so any winamp destop controls work with foobar just fine.

I was using the lighter version at first, but you couldnt really read it unless you had a dark window underneath it. And most of my apps have a light gray foreground.
