I didn't know there was a pre-evolved version of Snorlax, but that's pretty cool.

Seems a pretty useless pokeball, but gives the game that little extra.

I didn't even know what it was for the first year I owned the game. I would always be like "why the fuck doesn't this fire flower work"

I tend to dislike any non-151-original Pokemon, but this is okay I guess. I was hoping they'd tone down the more useless pokeballs ~~Maril~~ but whatever. Hopefully something'll happen if he eats too many items.

Some Pokemon have to be weak to balance out the Pokemon that are overpowered. And if they were all the same level of effectiveness then the Pokeball wouldn't be unpredictable.

This goes for all the items when people complain that an item is "too powerful" (heart container, hammer) or "too weak or useless" (bunny hood, Lip's Stick). You have to play with all the items at once to get the full balance.

I like using the bunny hood and Lip's Stick... Ganondorf with the bunny hood is crazy awesome, and Lip's Stick is a pretty good throwing item and it does extra damage. It's just that this pokemon seems pretty useless in the overall scheme of the game.

An assload of people on smashboards were disappointed about the Lyn update. They wanted her to be playable.

I wonder who the other FE character is going to be now. Marth or Black Knight would both be cool.

Think of it as a short term poison spell. One you could constantly hit your foe with. That the best I can describe it. :P

Yay halberd stage.
We all knew it was there from all of the previous updates and so on but the thing I like most is how they kept the arm and laser cannon thing from Kirby Superstar in it.

If someone gets hit with it, a small flower grows on their head. With time, the flower gets smaller and smaller. As the flower's shrinking, it does some damage to the person who got it. If you hit someone, say, 3 times in a row, the flower gets bigger and thus does more damage for longer than one hit with it. It's a pretty useful item, actually, although it's pretty underplayed.

The Halberd is cool, also. The arm cannon and laser is interesting, but from the pictures i'm not exactly sure how it'll work.

Really sucks that this level won't be used in competitive play, as I like it the most.

I hope there's going to be a Kid Icarus orchestrated main theme. That'd be so cool.

About FF characters appearing, they might but maybe in the form of assist trophies.

Well, if the other guy from Fire Emblem (?) makes it into the rooster, I don't see any reason why a Final Fantasy character can't. FF started with Nintendo after all and right now they are making tons of games to the DS. Nintendo should be happy that they got some of the franchise back. They should say 'thanks' and get at least some guy in there...

You understand that Fire Emblem characters are Nintendo characters right? Or was your point that fire emblem characters are fantasy type character so FF's characters would fit in just fine as well in the game? The rest of your argument is perfectly valid.
