Something needs to be done for this kid because he does not know what he's doing it seems like, or maybe he does but doesn't comprehend it fully as he is handicapped. Definitely everyone on youtube is an idiot for their extremely stupid responses and all the video responses do not help at all.

there's some way to log IP's that access a certain picture, we could send him a unique picture in an e-mail (maybe only a few pixels big) and track him down to which state he's in at least.

I think it's depressing in the sense that he seems to be in genuine need of help, and although it's fully recognized by those around him, and apparently by countless internet peeps, he's getting nothing.  But what the fuck, I can sympathize but how many videos do you need to make of yourself damaging yourself? Um, I can't really say I'll lose sleep if he just dies.

Although I'm beginning to have an inkling of suspicion that he isn't really eating lead, because after 200+ videos, ~2000 minutes, over 30 hours of webcam, his parents should have done SOMETHING at this point.

But since he is doing extremely dangerous shit and is handicapped, I'd say giving someone in this situation the benefit of the doubt with no cost to yourself isn't too hard to do.

This may seem really cheesy, but what if someone made a Facebook group calling attention to this guy and his videos? That sort of thing gets the attention of people like flies, and you can be assured that you'd get a few thousand people to join and know this kids plight in what, a weeks time? Facebook groups around things like that kid who was beaten by the cops for his bike, and the poor lady who was raped (under circumstances that currently escape me) usually get thousands of members, and hundreds of wall posts and topics on the little group message board.

I don't know, man, the sheer number of people who join those groups make it likely that SOMEONE would do something, I mean, a few newspaper articles were written by some of the people who joined some of those Jena 6 groups for example. Making a Facebook group may not be the most direct way of helping, but it'll probably help given the logic of the sheer amount of people that will be made known to the situation.

Jena 6 was written independent of facebook though; increasing awareness of the kid will just make him an E-CELEB even more and cause drama.

There's nothing a facebook group could do that we couldn't do.
