This is a bit of an experimental topic but here goes;

This is where if you're bored and want something to watch then you alert the active community of the Film Media forum.

You want to watch a film, but you have no idea what's good!

So what do you do?

You reply to this topic asking for some help. You specify what type of film you want, or similar films that you feel like watching.

And then the Film Media forum peeps do their best to recommend a film, because there is pretty much anything out there.

Let's see if this works.  :fogetmmh:

This is a pretty good idea, one problem I can see being run into a lot is that people recommend the person films that they have already seen and we get a lot of "Seen it already!" posts cropping up. But I guess that is why it's an experimental topic so let's give it a shot.

I may as well start this off, I'll ask for a few requests anyway.

The Mind Bender:
I really like the film Donnie Darko and am pretty pumped for the upcoming Southland Tales. I'd like to watch a film with a similiar directorial style. Something with a cool storyline that makes you think, something interesting. I really wouldn't know where to start looking for something like this so I'll just let you all go ahead and suggest something for me.

The Action:
Just watched Death Proof LAST NIGHT. It was cool but had not enough action/violence/gore for what I was expecting. I would like a similiar kind of action film with a little more violence and gore. I guess KILL BILL would have fit the bill on this one but I have seen that already so I would like some other suggestions.

The Cool Detective Thriller Thing:
One of my favourite films of this year has been Zodiac. I hadn't really watched any intense thriller films like this and had some cool shots and some pretty intense scenes. I have seen Se7en already which I guess is also a similiar kind of film that would have fit the bill so do you guys got anything else for me?

Thanks in advance.
