Crimson Viper looks absolutely stupid, so.. I'm happy to see that Abel is a bit more normal looking.

Abel seems really really cool. C. Viper reminds me of a mix between Rose (has her upwards SRK grab deal), Makoto/Balrog (charge punches) so far.

Even though I'm really excited about this game, I kind of agree with Mala about the art design. Everyone looks massive (Chun-Li seemed to have bigger arms). I'd also prefer if the developers went with gorgeous 2D cel-shaded characters (like in Odin Sphere for example) rather than 3D seeing as the gameplay is still 2D.

2d games dont sell very well, its just a good fact now and days. Capcom wants good sales, so...

The game looks pretty ugly imo, although it's early, so I hope it improves later. SF3 is so awesome, but the gameplay vids aren't impressing me for 4.

I think the game looks great, but the characters just look too big on the screen. Zangief almost touches the health meter in that video posted. I also hate how the camera tends to zoom in and out depending on what move a person did. Hopefully they'll touch up on some of the issues before the release of the game. It probably won't be out for awhile, so there's still time....sort of.

Yea, thats kind of odd they kept the big foot thing from alpha. Ryu and Ken always looked like they had a second pair of hands.

No one REALLY cares about the story, and if they do they probably need to be shot. Yeah, I know the story, but its a FIGHTING GAME. They do BS things all the time, not even Capcom is above that. I don't care if M. Bison comes back because he slaughtered 5 donkeys in Hell and ate a mystical time traveling apple, as long as he is back.

May be a few days late to reply but holy shit, have you seen the Soul Calibur 4 thread?! Fighting games require stories nowdays to be good y'know. Don't be surprised by this otherwise insane thinking. Fightning needs to make sense!

The thing is, some fighters do have more intricate stories then others, so I can understand Soul Calibur fans being pissed, cause SC has pretty good lore, but...ITS A FIGHTING GAME.

You can find screenshots that show ridiculous stuff (weird faces) like that in any game, it looks a lot better in motion imo.

Also you're going to see a lot of weird stuff considering they are mimicking a 2D game in a 3D engine. Canceling frames just looks weird in a 3D engine.

People have noticed this on other forums, but it seems that the game has proximity blocking, as in the characters will change based on the attack they are blocking. Like, Zangief literally holds Blanka during his rolling attack as a block, and the characters will move their arms to block a punch where the punch is, etc.
