Heh heh heh...DarkNecrid flat out WINS.

I really don't think they're running out of updates, so much as they're running out of stuff they're willing to tell us before the game is released.  I was looking through the cast list yesterday, and they've told us a lot of the final smashes and some of the special moves, but some characters have little to nothing mentioned at all.  Bowser's specials were never released, neither were the Ice Climbers, and we know nothing about Zelda except that she's coming back.  Are they saving us from boring stuff we already knew from Melee, or keeping some things secret this way?

The Pokemon models don't look fantastic, but it's cool knowing all those legendaries will be coming back to own everybody again.  I wonder what Mew's CD does...?

Mmmm...soundtrack to Pokemon Red...

It's probably just a random rare track you haven't collected yet.

Actually, knowing the trophy system from melee, a random rare track you already DO own.

I don't understand why these look so bad! Check this: http://www.ssb-center.com/dossiers/dossiers.php?val=38_les%2Bpokeballs

It shows some of the pokemon from Melee. They look way better!

Yeah... Personally, I preferred when Pokemon were good to have but not super-powerful. Entei is a BEAST if you get caught in that thing, but old timers like Onyx and Meowth were good to have once in a while but not a TURN THE TIDE OF BATTLE kind of thing.

The only pokeball pokemon I didn't like from melee was Polygon, mainly because he attacked extremely fast right out of the pokeball. All the other pokemon are fairly easy to dodge.

You have to be like right beside it to get hit by a polygon though.  It's really hard to get hit right with it, so it makes sense that you're pretty screwed when you do.

New update about the Smash Ball.  I like that if someone is completely getting their ass handed to them when they respawn there's a chance they'll start with a Smash Ball in standby...that could definitely make things interesting.
I'm not conceited.  I'm as good as I say I am.

And a new song. That's kinda cool about the Smash Ball, some things I didn't know (that you have to break it open or w/e, and that it isn't activated STRAIGHT AWAY).

Yeah, its cool to know for sure how exactly they work.  And they do count as an item that can be switched on or off.  That also means they're an item that can be turned up!

Heh heh heh...Giga Bowser vs. Landmaster Tank...

Mario's super flame against Samus' laser... This is a definite tide-turning thing. You could be 1 hit away from breaking open the ball, then fly away and someone else gets it! This is going to be fun.

I am giving up updating the topic every weekday.

Especially when it's mostly the most boring things. Hopefully they'll just stop making updates and leave you to wait for the release date. We don't need to know everything.

Pity Final Smash is stupid. Since when in a fighting game should the player be rewarded for sucking? I mean, if it's a handicap battle that you're looking for, there's already an option for that. I personally won't be playing with Smash Balls anyway, but I hope that there will be an option to turn the Pity Final Smash off.

I agree with this. Final Smashes probably would be usable in tournament situations if not for this detail. Either way I think I'm going to play with Final Smashes. It's good that you can turn them off though.

Haha. Pity Final Smash is awesome. Now when I'm playing against my younger cousins, they might actually get a chance to pull one off!

The way I see it they only planned to release so much information before Dec. 3rd. But since it was pushed back 68 days they have to reveal stupid crap like this because there need to give updates and not reveal everything they didn't want to reveal before the game's release. Word on the street is by December 15th we should have the starting roster. Also, I don't mind the bad updates too much. I don't stay up late for them anymore I just check them when I wake up so it's not a big loss.

Hope they don't show all the characters, and hope they haven't shown all the characters.

In a Korean Magazine I think it was stated that Sakurai had included something like "more characters than you could imagine." I'm pretty sure we'll get more.
