Im pretty happy that the Onett stage is back, it was the first one I thought of when the first Melee stages update was announced.

And we now have the Alloy Rangers to deal with!

If no one minds, I would like to fight some of you guys sometime. (Luckily I pre-ordered it in October)
A wifi match is the first thing my friends and I are going to do when we get the game, heh.

Damn, I wish I lived in the U.S! I'm pre-ordering it from Play.com pretty soon (if it's EVER released over here in Euroupe!)

I assume you'll be able to play across continents etc? So me and my pals can join in in some Gw Brawl hijinks!!

I pre-ordered during the summer...

Nice update, I guess... Nothing new really.

I'm really looking forward to playing you guys soon, though. Obviously plenty will be better than me (sarhan) but I love a challenge so! Just... Sarhan, you play no items, right? I play with items, and i'm not starting an argument or anything, but just bringing up the point that people will all have different preferences. I would much rather have items, while plenty of people think the opposite. Just something to consider, I guess?

(Also man 2v2's will be awesome, but i'm getting it later in the week due to Amazon shipping slow.)

You could, but it might end up being laggy. We won't know until we try though, but I'm willing to give it a shot. I can be the guinea pig...opponent person.

Definitely. We'll probably get a topic going here with Brawl codes as soon as the game comes out. If you want to play ASAP, send me a PM with your AIM and we'll get something going. Erave and I have already planned it out.

Same thing goes for you (about the PM and all that). As for the items, yeah, I can do items. Not a big deal. Worst case scenario, we can just switch off between items and no items.

Haha, and people said there'd be no more good updates. I have a feeling getting good with Olimar is going to be tough since you need Pikmin to do even simple attacks. Seems like it'll take some time to get used to. Pretty badass concept though.

Hmm, I'm hoping Sakurai will go on a massive character revealing spree now that Brawl is only 15 days away from being released in Japan. Maybe Olimar is the start of that spree. Or maybe it's just wishful thinking.

Man I really wish I could check the Smash Bros site, but it is blocked out here in DESERTLAND. But I have gathered that a lot of Melee stages will be returning in Brawl? Would someone be a peach and list the ones which are confirmed to return? Corneria is one of my favorite stages, and probably the highest played stage out of the group I play with.

Haha this is awesome.
Captain Olimar's one of those obscure characters that I wanted to be playable in the game but I expected he'd only be an assist trophy or something. I'm kinda wondering how the Pikmin plucking will work though.

YES haha I fucking knew Captain Olimar would be in it. Ever since discussing characters that need to be in the next game, before the Wii was even out. I always suggested Olimar, because he's a unique nintendo branded character. Hahaha amazing.

WOW.  I can honestly say, I did not see this coming.  I figured if he was in at all, he'd be an assist trophy (mainly due to issues of proportion).  Well, he's not the size of a quarter anymore, so I'm definitely looking forward to playing as Olimar.  This is incredible...

Proportions weren't really ever an issue. Aren't all the characters just toys or trophies that come to life?

I don't think they've showed us yet in this game, Grogrod. In the first game they were dolls, then in the 2nd they were trophies. We don't know about this one yet (or I've forgotten at any rate).

Regardless, this is cool. I didn't expect this one.

Finally an good update! Captain Olimar is probably my favorite character so far out the current characters. The theme song was pretty nice too.
