Eh... Norfair is just a revamped version of Brinstar, which is very obvious to anyone who's played the original and/or Melee. I'm fine with it though, since it looks fun to play in, as well as random chances I'll  spring in a quote from Back Before Midnight. Grab opponent , "I love you man!", then we both die from the huge tidal wave of lava. Fun times.

I never really enjoyed Ness all that much. He was challenging to play as and all, but I never got used to playing as him. I doubt Lucas will be different. PK Freeze kinda reminds me of PK Cross/Flash since you're charging it, but meh who knows how it'll turn out.

I knew Gray Fox was coming! I was hoping he was a secret character, but hell, an Assist Trophy is just as good.

I like the new looks for the Beam Saber and Fire Flower, despite the slit. I can't wait to try out the clock. Or pretty much play this game in general.

There's also a chance Ridley might be an Assist Trophy as well, which I'm more leaning towards. I think there is one last newcomer slot left, so I guess we'll just wait and see if Ridley made it as a playable or not.

He'd damn well better not be an assist trophy, that's a huge waste.
He works very well as a playable character and there's no reason a Ridley can't be a boss either (Space Pirates, cloned him, built a robot Ridley/whatever, it's not like it has to make sense)


Besides Ridley vs Samus in Norfair it would be a crime not to let that happen.
I always liked the Metroid stages, but I'm hoping for a change of scenery, ie Phendrana Drifts, or the Phazon mines or something.

Or maybe they could use Brinstar from Super Metroid. That would kick ass as a stage, with maybe an appearance from Spore Spawn or something idk.

EDIT: Also do you think the inclusion of stage builder means that there will be no returning stages?

Perhaps. I can also see Aether/Dark Aether being a stage as the Dark World gimmick would fit right in, as the planet warps to Dark aether you have to fight over the light beacons.

I'm really not feeling the updates with things that were announced at E for All. Seems like a copout. I mean, they have 2 extra months to release the game, you'd think they could bare to lose the updates announced at events.

I'm rather disappointed in Ike's Final Smash. It feels as though they could've come up
with something a lot better than a pimped Aether and temporary invulnerability.

They should've kept Roy, too.

Ike's FS is very cool looking when you actually use it. It's probably the coolest looking FS so far. It's like an Omnislash which usually results in certain death. Check it out on youtube sometime. The only drawback is having to be right next to the opponent when you use it, like Metaknight's.
