I think I'll make a separate topic when Brawl is released. We can use the same thread to organize our first tournament a few weeks later as well. If any moderator would rather do it themselves, that's cool with me. Otherwise I'm making a thread as soon as I get Brawl at the midnight release.

I don't know man. I'm actually somewhat better than those vids you may have seen of me. The DVD player I used to record vids causes a small amount of input lag, screwing me over whenever I try to l-cancel, WD, or waveland. I can easily 3 stock those guys in the videos if I play without recording with the DVD player.

I'd preorder it just in case. Not sure about the gamestop in your area, but the ones near me get a lot of business, so I wouldn't necessarily consider them low key. Up to you though.

Sarhan, I'm pretty sure so far you're the best GW  member that we know of, in Melee. I kick my friends' asses 9 out of 10 times, so I'm aching for new blood. I guess fighting better players makes you better, so... Get ready!

Doubt it. There are plenty of people here that could beat me in Melee. I do think I'll be above average in Brawl, but I'm usually kidding whenever I make cocky statements. I like to smack talk, but it backfires a lot. It's all in good fun. I'll be doing the same in Brawl, so I don't want anyone taking it personally and getting offended or thinking I'm some elitist ass.

But yeah, can't wait to play you guys. Only 25.5 hours until we get our hands on the game. Oh man...tomorrow will be the longest day ever. I've been waiting for this game for so long and after having to deal with the delays, I'm glad it's almost here. Luckily two of my buddies and I will get together and play melee until it's time for the GS tourney, so that should help pass the time.

-Battlefield only (rumor, but very likely because of previous Brawl tournaments)

Sorry, you only get to make those lists after you become an opper on #capcom or a mod on SWF/SB. Know what's funny about them too? Damn scrubs keep coming back for more so you can't scratch off their names.

Wish I had a wireless network yet so I could play online on my Wii. Probably going to have to wait until the second or third batches of SSBB copies comes out if the burned copies turn out to not be able to connect online before I can even start playing online. You scrubs better consider yourselves lucky Sarhan, cosmicsoul and myself won't be together for an epic beatdown on your collective asses.

Raziel, if you don't have wireless internet, you could always track down a wired internet adaptor for the Wii.  You could use the same connection you have on your computer (and it's more reliable that way, too).

As for all the trash talkin'....I don't care if I win or lose.  I just love a good fight.  You guys might beat me, but I'm not going to make it easy for you!

Seriously speaking though, I always try to sound epic, really for no particular reason. It's just a habit. I guess it's a persona I've developed through my years of mimicing the ancience of Christopher Lee, also possibly that one Maechen historian guy that tells you all that stuff about Spira in Final Fantasy 10.
Anyway, I main G&W also, but I may main Link or Mario, but with the new changes... I can't tell just yet.
I only like to play on the Hyrule Temple, Final Destination, and Battlefield, so maybe my skills will be hindered due to environment changes. I have recently been fighting on random stages, though. And sorry for starting to sound 'jackassy.' I'm just confident and zealous as always.

About the tournament: I'll hopefully be able to make it to the Uvalde/Woodforest location in my area.
