I will go see this movie just to see how bad it turns out.

Two major bits of Dragon Ball Z casting news for you: The roles of Goku and Piccolo have been cast.

According to Variety, Justin Chatwin will play Goku, the powerful warrior who protects the Earth from endless hordes of evil creatures hell-bent on dominating the universe and harnessing the power of the titular, mystically powered orbs.

The villainous demon king Piccolo will be played by James Marsters, who made his name playing peroxide-blond bloodsucker Spike in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel.

Chatwin doesn't have a huge amount on his CV. He had a small role in War of the Worlds and has also popped up in Lost and Smallville.

Apparently, he has already been training with 87Eleven, the stunt performance company behind the action sequences in The Matrix, 300 and The Bourne Supremacy.

Since the end of Buffy meanwhile, Marsters has been playing Professor Milton Fine in Smallville, and will also appear in the rom-com P.S., I Love You with Hilary Swank.

Final Destination helmer James Wong will direct the project, which is due to start shooting later this month.

These castings kind of make sense to us, visually at least, but what do you guys think?

faces look passable.. (what's up with Spike's cheekbones??) But the real trouble comes from other physique.. I mean these guys are ment to be ridiculously ripped. Kind of muscles that're able to destroy planets with a swing of a fist. Both of them look rather slim. Still I've been waiting for this so long. Looks like it's really coming!

This movie seriously has potential to be the funniest movie ever created.

This will be an absolutely visceral moviegoing experience

God I seriously just want to see ANY footage of this movie, any DBZ scene depicted with live human actors would be pure hilarity. Like I even have trouble comprehending how people can even TALK the way they do in DBZ

The rumor started up a month or two ago but I put no stock into them! Here's hoping they do a good job. I really bet it will suck hard, but I won't complain if they surprise me. Here's a forum dedicated to the news on it for those of you who ~~don't~~ care (I'm the only one who does right?)

I don't mean what is said is funny, I find the scene quite stupid normally. I just think watching them try to mimic it in the movie will be funny.

This just got a new skin, it's been announced that Stephen Chow is producing. Which is a big 'WHAT', but this is the guy behind Kung Fu Hustle, Shoulin Soccer, and many other films.

I'm not sure what to expect anymore.

Both of those films are absolutely amazing. So I think, despite the fact this is DBZ it is probably going to be one of the best films ever.
