Don't know if anyone has already said this, but on the news here they were actually debating about whether Santa should be given a new look because his obesity is setting a bad example for children.

I wonder how far the people who make these changes are willing to take this? First they changed that 'Bah, bah Black Sheep' nursery rhyme into 'Bah, bad Rainbow Sheep' (somewhere in the UK, I think) some time ago to avoid offending colored people, now this? I can't wait for the next one to laugh at the stupidity of it.

I think his point was that usually being defined as "obese" requires knowing the exact height and weight so you can see if it's a healthy weight for that person.

My opinion on that is that it's fucking Santa Claus and most people don't use him as a role model anyway, and I don't see anyone going "SANTA MADE ME FAT" so the idea of slimming him down is just a waste of time.

Really doing ANYTHING with Santa is a waste of time, I'm not very big on Santa, but if we're going to have him then LEAVE HIM AS HE IS.

Like I said, I think it was more about not being able to really say "obese" (hello third party).

Santa should be strict and give out money only to the children who have proven their worth within the free market. Things like "jollyness" and "'altruism" are foolish ideals, not to mention immoral.
