it feels, even now, like it's going to be some kind of CULT CLASSIC, in retrospect.  like, the drinking of the giant sunny d bottle, the lingo, etc.  i hope in ten or fifteen years people don't watch this movie the same way they watch PRETTY IN PINK or something and think "whoa... this is what life was like"

Hardly worthy of a BEST PICTURE nomination but hey what can you do.

Yeah I thought it was an extremely silly move to nominate this over Into the Wild, 3:10 to Yuma and Eastern Promises... even American Gangster.
Me and Tom Under the Boardwalk ... there is so much fun to have under the boardwalk

I just want to clarify that the first ten minutes of this movie are absolutely horrible and ugh it's the worst but after that it gets better and I'm a faggot and kind of liked the last scene.

THAT SAID I still didn't really like it that much but it wasn't a horrible movie, just kind of annoying!  Hardly worthy of a BEST PICTURE nomination but hey what can you do.
You need to channel the energy of David Lynch and get more upset over this!

you're absolutely right and this article reminded me of why i hated it in the first place:

If Juno Was 10 Times Shorter and 100 Times More Honest

I think Juno might be one of those movies that I'll hate while watching it but sometime afterwards I'll think "well I don't know I guess it wasn't that bad" and then I'll watch it again and hate it.  Just like Saving Private Ryan, which I haven't seen in a while and, you know, probably isn't as bad as I think it is.

ahaha "I look forward to the scene in this movie that reunites us for the first time since the show was canceled, which is sure to be a real pleasure for fans."

Haha, this is pretty good. The JK Simmons and Michael Cera bits are awesome.

I just watched this last night, and holy fuck I hated every minute of it.  I was able to count the number of times I laughed: 7 times.  The movie felt like four hours long, so that's less than 2 laughs every hour.

It started off trying to be hip or some shit, and the whole Raine Wilson scene was just fucking awful.  Then the movie tried to be liked Saved!, which was infinitely better.

Verdict: This movie is like a shitty version of Saved!.
