This is insane. Blizzard along with Activision has just become one of the most powerful developers, possibly larger then EA

UPDATE: Looks like Blizz will pretty much remain unchanged dev wise they posted an FAQ on the WoW forums

It hasn't actually "happend happend" yet, they don't expect the transaction to happen til mid 08.

I'm happy, EA could use an opponent. Activision and shit aren't doing shit to Blizz and vice versa, they are basically acting as seperate companies under 1 name. *shrugs*

Which is a good thing.  With EA sucking up Bioware I can only hope more of the smaller developers ban together to increase their power yet still retain some form of identity.  Majesco almost ruined Psychonauts but I can only hope the new publisher for Schafer's Brutal Legend will actually throw some monetary power behind it.

Blizzard will probably use Activision's men power to make more game and Activision will probably use Blizzard's talent not to make game sucks.

Or the opposite happens...
