-jews use a lunar calendar
-ezekial 8:15-17 specifically condemns sun worship
-i'm pretty sure the 12 signs of the zodiac weren't around in the time of moses
-the new testament never refers to jesus as a fish? more often, a lamb
"However, the idea of a Law being passed from God to a prophet on a mountain is also a very old motif. Moses is just a law giver in a long line of law givers in mythological history. In India, Manou was the great law giver"
the laws of manu seemed to be relatively unimportant before british influence
! also i don't remember him receiving them on a mountain from a god but idk maybe that's my memory
"And as far as the Ten Commandments, they are taken outright from Spell 125 of the Egyptian Book of the Dead. What the Book of the Dead phrased "I have not stolen" became "Thou shall not steal," "I have not killed" became "Thou shall not kill," "I have not told lies" became "Thou shall not bare false witness" and so forth."
yeah this sounds about right if you ignore all the others that don't have a 10 commandment correspondant:
http://www.philae.nu/akhet/Declaration.htmland a few that don't have book of the dead equivalents, honoring your parents, keeping the sabbath holy, covetry, idol worship
and so forthfurthermore, moses lived in the pharohs household for a long period and the people he was commanding were also from egypt, why wouldn't he have simply used the egyptian law everyone was used to instead of calling it his own?
Joseph was a prototype for Jesus. Joseph was born of a miracle birth, Jesus was born of a miracle birth. Joseph was of 12 brothers, Jesus had 12 disciples. Joseph was sold for 20 pieces of silver, Jesus was sold for 30 pieces of silver. Brother "Judah" suggests the sale of Joseph, disciple "Judas" suggests the sale of Jesus. Joseph began his work at the age of 30, Jesus began his work at the age of 30. The parallels go on and on.
joseph was of 12 brothers (meaning he had 11 brothers), jesus had brothers and sisters too but when he was 30 he had a team of 12 main disciples. Joseph was sold into slavery for 20
shekels of silver, jesus was identified by judas for 30
peices of silver. Jesus worked for his father as a carpenter, Joseph didn't do manual labour as he was favoured. Jesus was the saviour of all mankind, joseph helped egypt through a famine.
and the parallels go on and on
Christianity, along with all other theistic belief systems, is the fraud of the age. It served to detach the species from the natural world, and likewise, each other. It supports blind submission to authority. It reduces human responsibility to the effect that "God" controls everything, and in turn awful crimes can be justified in the name of Divine Pursuit.
i never read this in the new testament but maybe it is hidden in between on the passages on loving your neighbour and the importance of fellowship and encouraging one another.
also since when did jesus teach blind submission to authority? when he was rebuking the pharisees maybe? or when he went on a rampage through the temple?
i watched most of the rest of the video too, but i agree that jewish bankers control the world and caused 9/11 so i didn't need any more ocnvincing *munches on carrot* *slurps down soya shake*
