So who else see's this fabulous show? The season finale airs this Sunday, but I've already seen it and lemme tell you: I have no clue how the hell this show is so good. Season 2 > Season 1, and S1 was like crack on TV, I honestly dunno how they can make S3 BETTER!!!

Dexter is a show on ShowTime about Dexter Morgan, who is a serial killer who kills bad men who escape the justice system, while working as a blood analyst for the Maimi Police Department.

Pretty much this show is the best show on TV right now it might as well be fact, and Heroes needs to take some lessons on how to make a good show from this show, cause honestly...its too damn good!

I've watched all of season 1 and first two episodes of season 2. It's an excellent show, really consistent in it's content and episodes when compared to Heroes. Honestly, I'm getting less interested in it, but it's a great show.

Season 2 really starts off slow, but it picks up fast.

The finale was...good, I dont see how they will even continue the show, but they did leave it wide open I guess. episode 11 of season 2, was by far the best episode of the series, followed by episode 10 of season 1......

I've only watched season 1 but I enjoyed it for the most part. I felt like the end of the season became a little unreasonable and the shoe thing in the last episode was dumb and predictable. I guess I liked the individual episodes more than the overarching plot, at least as it developed more and became so personal.

I've already had some season 2 ruined for me though I still plan on watching it sometime.

I heard about this a while ago and it sounded bad so I never saw it. I'll give it a try since you all think pretty highly of it

Finished watching season 2 today and it's a great show. Second season was definitely better than first one. And I doubt there will be a third season.

Man, to tell you the truth, I was the same way. I heard the premise and went "lolwut" pretty much, but then I got forced into seeing the first episode and I was just hooked.

I watched the first few episodes, been pretty good so far. It's not moving that quickly but that's okay

How fucked if at all was this by the writer's strike because god damn the second series of heroes was bad and I don't want another scenario like that

edit: nevermind since ds says HARD TO TOP SEASON 2 I guess it didn't get that badly affected.

It didn't get affected at all, they made all the S2 episodes in anticipation of the strike.

i wish more people would watch this its really great :(

s2 finale is excellent, diverts from the books quite a bit but then again this entire season has been doing that. I'm kind of iffy on how they only mention The Dark Passenger in the show like twice. Don't get me wrong, its a fabulous show, but I think in the book -> show transition, with the changes they've made, you don't really get the same....feeling, I guess, towards Dexter that you do in the books. In the books Dexter is like 500x worse, and if you get a notion of "he's a sick bastard" in the show, well if you read the books you will get a much worse notion, but oh well...

I haven't read the books, but I love the show. The Dexter in the show i htink has been presented as a lovable sort of monster who actually thinks he's worse than he really is.

As for the finale, I loved it.

BTW, the third season is gonna be the last one right? Since there's three books?

In the books Dexter is still lovable to some degree, but he is definately worse. He considers Rita his "pet".

And the show stopped going in line with the books towards the end of Season 1 when , so more than likely it could keep going past a Season 3.

I'm a huge fan of Jeff Lindsay's and was ecstatic to find that Dexter had been optioned by Showtime - I think they've done the books justice, and I'm GLAD they started to branch off, I hate direct to TV adaptations.

Micheal C. Hall is exactly how I pictured Dex when I read the book. This show is truly an ensemble cast, they did a great job.
