Why is it that some people think that getting pregnant young like that always require mandatory abortion?

Because raising a child means devoting your time to, you know, raising a child and if you're not capable of doing so whether because of work obligations or monetary reasons it's ultimately better to get an abortion than raise a child in a terrible environment.   

That's just my personal belief.  I doubt the Spears family will ever run out of money soon but if Jamie ever goes back to the acting world it means she'll be dumping her kid off at family members which is only going to cause future problems.

Well, it's a shame that she had to go and get herself knocked up, but I feel more sorry for the baby than anyone else involved. In a way I'm quick to dismiss this because this happens to people ALL of the time, but when you're in a position of relative fame like that family, I think of what kind of stress and outlook the kid is going to have growing up. The kid of an unwed 16 year old mother with a borderline crazy, washed up, stressed out superstar aunt, with the whole world watching. Poor kid.

What terrible environment? She doesn't live in Uganda or anything like that. There are people who are born in far worse conditions and are now very well. But whatever some people just have a bad personality and even if they're financially stable etc they become bad parents anyway.

I don't know about you, but being carted around from set to set, having paparazzi chase you around, having a mother who probably doesn't know what she's doing (I can't say this accurately, but raising a kid isn't like caring for BABY-B-REAL), and growing up only to discover the internet pictures involving your "aunt" is just as bad a living condition as growing up in a 3rd world country.  I can only imagine that this kid will probably end up getting famous in 10 years BECAUSE he/she is the daughter of Jamie Spears... only to get knocked up and have another child.

And the vicious cycle continues.

Your average person probably doesn't have the money to say "Ah well it's not such a big deal". For a lot of people it would mean financial/moral crisis but for young Jamie Lynn she's in no trouble. At the moment she's being publicised as a stupid girl, in 9 months she'll be publicised as a MILF.

And quite frankly, some 16 year old twat who is mainly only famous cause of her sister who gets pregnant, isn't really important at all.

The news doesn't really inform the public of what's important, it informs the public of drama and bullshit that they deem at the very most, newsworthy. Aside from weather and traffic reports that is and the occasional actual information you can use to some extent, but for the most part, nah.
