Well after about 6 months of watching I'm finally finished with Eureka 7 (watched about 10 episodes half a year ago and then 40 episodes last week). The series was alright, I guess, but it kind of left me burnt out creativly; everything was kind of dark and muddy from episodes 16-50. In my honest opinion, the story got kind of worse after episode 25 or so.

Anyway, I'm now just looking for something simple and refreshing. Probably a movie instead of a series. The only anime movies I've ever seen are Studio Ghibli ones, but I don't mind any that are based off of anime series. Something like "Refreshing Action, Comedy, Adventure". Something light and refreshing rather than a drama...

If you are looking for a movie, I would highly recommend Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo (The Girl Who Runs Through Time). It has an excellent story, fantastic animation, music, and art. Everything you could ask for in a movie. Here is the ANN page for it. Though it has some pretty heavy drama in the movie, it is a kind of light and cheery movie.

I'll give it a shot, but I'm looking for movies a little more light-hearted/comedy (action maybe); but something as light as The Cat Returns, or something as charming as the Negima! manga or Negima!? anime.

But thanks, I'll make sure to look out for it.

Light and refreshing? Son, you need to watch Tokyo Godfathers. It's about three homeless people - a young girl, a transvestite, and a middle-aged bum - who find a baby in a dumpster on christmas, and start tracking down the parents. So many brilliant characters, awesome sense of humour, takes everything lightly and is just damn fun all the way through, and even manages to squeeze in some good action scenes. Beats all of the Gibli movies if you ask me.
