Well the "obsession" isn't going to go away. Get used to it. We can't put assassination videos all over prime time TV because little kids might be watching. A lot of the stuff that's more important right now is sensitive stuff that any well informed person knows how to find for themselves. Look at it this way... we have BOTH topics. An assassination one, and a Britney one. You scholarly intellectuals can have fun mourning your heroes and us average joes will have fun mourning ours... or making fun of them. Whatever.

All the retarded arguments aside, I think the bottomline here is that some people really don't care too much about pakistani's former prime minister because they aren't that interested in politics and it doesn't really affect them. can you seriously blame them for this?

I'm not saying this topic is good by any means, it's not. It's really hard to understand why anyone would even care about Britney Spears anymore. I'm not here to defend this topic, I'm just saying you can't expect everyone to be interested in politics or serious topics. You just can't. At least not all of them. I haven't posted in that topic because I don't really have anything to say about it. I mean, I'm interested in news like that (interested might not be the best choice of word but oh well) but I don't really have anything to contribute when it comes to that topic.

Just look at some historical figures from the acting world... people like marilyn monroe and jim morisson(sp? sorry guys I am so tired I could almost not even find the ? mark.)

They were constantly in the limelight and put under scrutiny and they died young and badly.
