That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.

changing the name to gamecake will only assure GW6's delay by another 4 years, as leafo would have to go and change all the logos.

all jokes aside.  I would have to say this new server is more reliable than the previous one.  It's faster and i've yet to receive any errors from it.

This speed increase can only mean good things. I was told by people still on dialup that the speed issues made it almost impossible to even access GW at certain times of the day. Nonetheless, cheers

Over the next few days while we make adjustments and the server itself gets "used" to GW (I explained it in irc .. ask someone) there will be spurts of downtime or slowness and all that jazz

Give it a week or two before making your final decision thanks :)

I see, but regardless this new server definitely faster than the previous one.

Finally, this is excellent news. Not only is the server noticeably much faster, I've looked at our stats and we're getting more posts at a faster rate as well.
