Just wanted to hear everyone's thoughts on one of the greatest anime' ever made.

Can you present your own thoughts in a paragraph or two before that? One line topics are pretty much unacceptable on any of the forums here.

It's pretty much a fetish anime.  The first episode alone features guro, public nudity, and "water sports".  I never bothered to watch the entire series, but from what I hear, there's plenty of rape, loli, and other horrible stuff.

I wouldn't go as far as calling it a fetish anime...

...with the exception of the bonus episode.... which was pure loli fan service.

Then there was the gratuitous scene showing that young girl stripping naked to await her step dad's throbbing cock...

Then there where the multiple shower and dressing scenes....

And then there where those violent nude scenes that where drenched in blood...

Elfen Lied is grotesquely violent and does have alot of nudity. Does that make it a fetish anime? Of course not. It is a work of art. It follows so many concepts and takes on so many issues. The only couple of adult things in the show are the extreme violence and nudity (nothing pubic, however) and occasional profanity.

Its pretty much up with the calibur of Cowboy Bebop as one of the greatest anime of all time. I'd explain what it was about, but Im one of those people who If I explain one part of it, then I get too involved.

So for those just reading this, disreguard anything that has been said. Its not a fetish, ecchi, or hentai by any means, but a great work of art, almost perfect (except for the subpar vocals and some episodes' storylines.)

Its 13 episodes with an OVA, so pick it up if you want to catch a good series.

But be warned, the first six minutes of it hold a record for being the most violent scene in japanese animation.

Its my opinion. There are alot of people who hate Elfen Lied and some dont get it, too. I respect that, but IMO its in the top 3.

The way I see it:
1.Bebop
2.EL
3.Evangelion

But hey, people have their opinions, and Im cool with it, lol.

On that note this is a terrible topic and I am locking it. All you have pretty much said is IT IS AWESOME AND DEEP ANIME TOP ANIME EVER without really expressing yourself. The other people here have done more individually to express their opinions, which you have announced to all to disregard and if I keep this open it is just going to get worse. Put some thought into what you are going to post before posting a topic here, next time.
