But it would be more exciting if he just made a random topic with an actual point besides "lol post" or selected a random topic and awarded a random poster premium. That way, it would be a surprise and people wouldn't spam post in order to build up their numbers. Did you notice only 2 non premium members posted in this entire topic?

But seriously, this topic is really boring. If you want to give away premium memberships, that's fine and dandy and even encouraged. But what is this doing other than telling the rest of GW that you are a lazy, uncreative member who just wants to throw some money away to GW? If you made it into a simple game or a little competition, it could be a lot more EXCITING.

If you're going to give money away to GW in an unexciting fashion, you might as well save yourself the time and click that satisfying "Buy premium for another member" button and type in a name you think deserves it now and instead of posting a topic in General to be COOL AND INFAMOUS FOR A DAY

Obviously it's ultimately your choice, but I'm just telling you what I think, and I'm sure a few members would agree with me.

Here's another: at some point, somebody will get post #50. That person will receive premium membership. HOWEVER, he must keep that post #50 spot for 24 hours. Meanwhile, other people can lobby or bribe the premiums who replied in the topic to delete their posts so as to shift them into the coveted spot.
