I changed my mind
Igor Stravisnky - The Right of Spring
As soon as it gets to The Augurs of Spring, I will have pumas with nixon masks jump out of the casket and gnaw on my body, while an Asian Male will prop up from behind the casket and unleash the biggest Kamehameha from his wang. Then, the sun will stop. And the seventh cuming of Goku will be complete.
you will fail

I swore after my Dad's funeral that I'd never have one that was sad and depressing, so you can forget your 'Tears in Heaven' and 'Wind Beneath my Wings'. I figure, why ruin a perfectly good song with sad memories?

FF7 Chocobo Race Music. Light-hearted and quirky. I can imagine their faces now... O.O; >WTF!?!?
'Nuff said.

Retrospection - Suikoden II, if I must have a sad song. -_-

Yeah. I likes my game musac.

If I had to have a 'real' song probably something upbeat and weird.

My family totally knows about this already. XP

I think I read somewhere that one of the dudes from Monty Python had "Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life" played at his funeral... Hard to think of a more hilariously appropriate song than that...

The end theme from the movie Cast Away... Or Pussyfoot by Sikth, just because it's awesome.

Pretty much anything by Pelican or the entire () album by Sigur Ros would be cool too.

Only the Good Die Young- Billy Joel

Any of those three would be fine.

One More Time - Daft Punk
LOLOLOL

Well... My top choices are:
"Leave out all the rest" by Linkin Park
"Slip out the back" by Fort Minor
"Live and Learn" from Sonic Adventure 2

"Given Up" by Linkin Park would be funny too LOL
Standing up for what I believe in, even if it means standing alone.

I will have my funeral on a green boat and I will have my naked corpse strung up in chains in the ships mast while my family and friends mosh on the deck to the tune of Shipping up to Boston by the drop kick murphy's and my corpse will be dropped into the mosh from above and they can all mosh me into a coffin which will be loaded into a cannon and set on fire and shot through a pane of glass into the sea.

To be honest I have no idea, I wont really care because I'll be dead. I don't want it to be a long drawn out thing where everyone sits around and mourns and my coffin slowly trawls down a conveyor to be cremated or whatever. I don't want a service or anything. So far I would go for the Imperial March theme though, that does sound like a pretty badass way to go out.

EDIT: Ahaha, I read back over the topic to see what some other people put and man I DO NOT GET YOU GUYS SOMETIMES. Like this is really over my head that people would actually want some meaningful lyrical song shit at the funeral. What's the point, is it just to make you relatives sad or do you believe that your soul will be able to hear it and it will carry you up into the afterlife? For me it seems so pointless. It's not like I'll be able to hear it, it's not like it's a mark of respect. I think a funeral should just be for your family to say goodbye and get closure on the fact that you are actually dead and gone rather than making a long drawn out big deal over it. (Is it a last cry out for REMEMBER ME I WANT TO BE REMEMBERED.)

I just can't comprehend any reasoning behind it.

EDIT2: OH RIGHT JOKE POST (lol)_ I get it now.

I agree. I think it's just every person wants a legacy or something, or at the very least something to sum up their existence, a nice little endnote to their entry in the annals of history. (lol, "annals" (is self referential humor funny? (oh fuck I can't stop it help me please)))

Lilium (Refer to sig)

The mouth of the just shall meditate wisdom, and his tongue shall speak judgment. Blessed is the man who endures temptation. For, once he has been tried, he shall receive the crown of life. Oh, Lord, oh Holy Fire, have mercy. Oh how sacred, how serene, how Benevolent, how lovely. Oh lily of purity.
