well having already a EVGA 8600GT 512MBGDDR3 for a few weeks now im not as satisfied as i thought i would be so it's time for anther upgrade. Thing is between these cards is that i could get the 8800GTX used for 175$ or i could go with this Asus card for 245$. comparing the specs, i still can't decide which card i should get so im asking you guys here at GW to help me with suggestions on which card.  :naughty:

8800 GTX is far better than the 3870. It's like insanely better.

Agreed, and being cheaper makes it that much better!

Hrmmm 175 compared to 245 I wonder.......I mean the 3870 X2 beats the GTX by a few FPS most of the time. But for 275 I doubt its the X2 seeing how thats 500 bucks so I would definitely go with the GTX.

Not a matter of opinion that the 8800 outperforms the 3870:

The GT versions of the 8800 start out at about $200, so even a brand new card would be cheaper.

Go with the 8800GTX. The overclocking is incredible.

That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.

The 8800 GTX will outperform that card. If it were the 3870 X2 it would be a different story. Go for the 8800.

Isn't that kind of what I had said a few posts ago.

thats nice but more people saying it looks better than one person saying it (one person could be wrong but if like 5 people say it its more than likely not wrong)
