I like fighting games, Im just really terrible at them, and I'm still getting used to that hip lingo used by the players.
(Sadly the only one I REALLY like playing is KMGP, and that has no online mode or whatever)
I guess I should download IRC again.

Also I look forward to the Smash tournament.

We should host some form of gathers as wells, you know, like the ones the GW Soldat crew had. Maybe play a set game every Friday nights or just try to get as many people online, idk.

Wow this sounds pretty cool. I'll probably join you guys after I get used to playing garou again.

I have a few questions though. What version of mame do you guys use? And where do I get Melty Blood: Act Cadenza? I checked the #capcom website but it didn't really give me any information on these things.

Act Cadenza is a commercial game, you can either buy it or find it through torrents. Use google for both.

For Mame, we use Mame32k 0.64. It's the most stable release to play Garou on.

Also, we use the p2p version of kailleraclient.dll found here.
Just put it in your root folder, replacing your server-only one if you like. Though I keep it because its more stable for kaillera servers in my experience.

I think a team of coders from GW should MAKE a fighting game... Then again people are lazy. Especially me. But that WOULD be cool. I'm right, right?

I'd get into #capcom if I wasn't so bad at finding roms.

If you have dialup, it probably isn't a good idea at all, most of these ROMs are 5-60MB.

people who play MMOs download hundreds of MBs worth of patches with them.

I hate college though. Time restrictions suck otherwise I'd be kicking ass left and right (probably not, but I'd be above average). That's the only reason I never got around to playing you, DN. When spring break rolls around, I should be able to play with all of you a bit (and I'll probably get addicted and keep playing afterwards). Once Brawl rolls around, you'll see me in #capcom a fairly decent amount (assuming other people there will be playing). I've just noticed I use parentheses very often (it's kind of annoying).

Don't worry, DN. I'll start visiting #capcom soon enough. Just give me a few more days.

I never said it was impossible, but then you have packets to send during netplay, and well, it's just not going to be good. It's gonna lag.

I like fighting games but haven't played them for years and would like to get involved with a tournament here even though I would most certainly get annihilated. Playing on Saturdays works out for me, too, because I have a weekday schedule. I'm aware I have a history of dropping out of GW events but I'm certainly up for a few fighting games! I don't hang out on IRC very often though.
