Yeah, methinks the GW isn't noticeable enough. Perhaps some red lettering or something that'd catch the eye.

Psychoskull's is good... I kind of like the approach I took though.

I tried to use a font that was very clean. The "G" could definitely have any sort of shapes knocked out on that bottom strip to form maybe a NES controller or something.

Of course, any sort of weekly cartoon or whatever could be placed inside. I really like that kind of thing... keeps the logo dynamic.

Well, if that's what you think, fine. I don't think this is a good design. Again, I don't mind that what I made was rejected. I understand you wanted to finish it as quickly as possible and didn't want to wait much longer. But I could have made a much more accurate effort if I had known what you wanted a bit better. It's kind of strange when you make something, then someone tells you it's "nearly okay", and then a few edits later it's suddenly completely discarded. If I had known that this is the kind of thing that you wanted, I'd have made something different; that's all I'm saying, critique of the design itself notwithstanding. (Also I'm posting this just because I feel I should clarify myself, not because I want to derail the current discussion.)

My vote goes for Psychoskull, top left one, without a chip in his tooth. Also the font is fine, but I think it could be better. And I agree with using FF7 continents instead of earth continents.

Also Psychoskull's is great, but I think it would be better if he looked down upon the earth a little. Just so it doesn't really look like the globe itself is part of the lego guy. I'm sure that at this point, if you downscale his logo a lot, people will mistake it for that.

I really like the first one, Aztek, but the main issue in my mind is the letters. The seem to separate and would also look better lined up imo. The letters seem just slightly off. I'd try making some variation on different ways of saying GW or Gaming World.

Oops, thanks. I forgot to mention that I'm not that good with Fonts/Lettering. I didn't even bother changing the letters from before. If someone wants to add good looking font to it and make it look better, by all means, be my guest. Personally I would love to see what zack could do with adding font to it.

I actually like that font and style, it's just placing that kinda bothers me. It just seems off. Right now it's a toss up between Aztek's and Psychoskull's, for me at leat.

If you take the angry, wl, and man out of it you get something special. :O

I like what you did with the GW, very professional. The Legoman kinda scared me. He looked greedy and corporate, but very crisp. What did you make everything in?

I like the lego man design, but I don't really care for the ANGER mood aspect. It kinda gives off the 13-year-old's angry amateur website feel.

Also, are you trying to make a "GWL" logo, as in "GW Log" or is the G just funny-looking?

Personally however I think if I had to choose one I'd go with Psychoskull's top left logo without the chipped tooth.

I did the logo part in Photoshop CS3. Photoshop can do vector and is sometimes a bit more flexible with type, I find.
However, I did the corporate lego-dude in Illustrator CS3. Illustrator isn't too difficult to learn - especially if you've used Photoshop - so I'd recommend picking that up and learning how to use it.

Hrmm, that's something I hadn't considered. I think I will tweak + revamp things to make a "GW" logo, as well as a seperate "GWL" logo.
