OK, well this is pretty simple:

I am currently the board mod for the netplay sub-forum, and as some of you may or may not know, this sub-forum replaced The Saikyo Dojo (the #capcom board...) in mid-2007.

So what I would like from YOU DUDES is feedback/ideas on how we can improve/change this sub-forum for the better.

What are you thoughts basically? How can this be improved? Is there a way to get more people into it? Anything you got, post it up and we will discuss it. The idea of a netplay forum and channel is a good one, but I wonder what your dude's thoughts on it are. It didn't get much attention, and I don't know if that's because everyone skipped it, used to it being Saikyo Dojo, or what.

I think the big thing is to just promote it more. most people probably don't even realize that it exists. start promoting tournaments and shit.

hell, make a community news post for the gwblog about the upcoming brawl tournament and link to a topic in the netplay forum.

i mean #capcom is very specialized about fighting games, but if netplay is for more than that (pokemon, mariokart, guitarhero and shit like that), people most likely just aren't aware of it.

no, everyone pretty much moved to #capcom, which isn't just fighting games anymore(or for that matter just capcom games, which it never was about, though some people seem to think it is)

Yeah, #netplay is like a general GATHER AND PLAY ANYTHING NOT FIGHTING GAMES/WoW/SOLDAT. Anything with multiplayer.

I'm going to try and promote it more, I want it to succeed...I am dedicated to stuff I am put on, as anyone who goes to #capcom can see. I made a website and shit for that shit, and kept bringing new people in. I don't quit when I'm given something to work on, and that shows...so I'm going to try and do anything necessary to make this forum/channel work, for sure.

I play Soldat but not Wow but whenever I get on the GW servers they're either empty or some dick kicks me out cause he's dueling another guy. I would gather on IRC but I just can't be bothered I prefer U13. Theres not exactly a wide selection of games either considering it's netplay, why don't we have a co-op metal slug game I'm pretty sure the mame emulators have netplay? actually no bad idea that is too long...Since I dont comemrcially own any of the games in the netplay games list I can't really join in with the fun.
EDIT: Add more free games so that people who don't own any commercial games can play as well thus making the netplay forum much more popular.
