Lucas is more difficult than Ness to use but he's pretty broken especially when you freeze someone near the edge of a stage.  I'm glad they didn't nerf the Mother characters because I seriously want this game to generate some buzz and pray that Mother 3 will actually get a release (lol not).

Is anyone else having problems connecting to WFC?  I keep getting a Disconnected from network during transmission error with an Error Code: 31109.  I can go to the Wii store and Wii news channel and all that shit but I can't fucking connect to their stupid servers.

I got the same error, Marcus.  I think it's an issue with the servers being overloaded and lag.  I had some torrents running and I got that error.  I stopped the torrents and I had no issue.  I think they probably knock some people out based on network latency.

Speaking of which, can I join the tourny?

Finally played it. We played for about 9 hours only doing 4 player free for all. The gameplay takes some getting use to, as does the characters because they all got changed in some way. My favorite character to play was probably Pit, because him and Metaknight rack up a lot of damage, but aren't so good at smashing people off. I felt, inadequete, playing with my friends because in Melee I do pretty good against them, but their were just so many items and final smashes that I couldn't really get to the core of the gameplay. Overall Brawl is awesome, but with so many changes to the gameplay, items, and characters (new and old) it was a little bit disappointing.

EDIT: And Holy Shit, what was up with those load times?!

I played Sarhan online earlier (my tag is M-O-W) and let me tell you that he's all talk.   A real chump.
