A relatively new company, Possibility Space may have in fact created the potentially best free mmo ever.
Their headquarters are in Beijing, China and Austin, Texas. Now, most of these asian mmo's are complete crap even with their American counterparts, but there's a key difference here. Much unlike other famous free mmos like Maplestory or Gunbound, the American version is being developed at the exact same time as it's alternatives. Not only that, but their is stacked. Seriously.
The founders have been key contributors to several hit titles. Some of their past projects include Battle for Middle Earth II, Gears of War, Starcraft, Age of Mythology, Command and Conquer III, and the Sims series. In addition to game experience, their art directors have been visual designers for feature films including Star Wars Episode III, Transformers, Mission Impossible, The Island, The Day After Tomorrow, and others.
So what has this team brought to us?
Warrior Epicwww.warriorepic.com[/center]
The game is however still in development, and the guys themselves did a beautiful job explaining the game themselves so rather then completely repeat what they said here, I'm going to point out certain things that stand out as well as give some screenshots and other goodies. :}
- Every class in warrior epic is specialized. Getting through dungeons in this game is going to take a good selection of warriors.
- Tons and tons of classes. On closed beta there will be eight playable classes, on release there will be ten, and a constant stream of new classes will come afterward.
- You do not play as a hero as you do in most other mmos. Instead you play as a hall master, and must build a collection of heroes to rest in your hall.
- When actually playing through the instanced dungeons the game is made of, you will be playing as one of your many warriors. (Think of your hall as a very fancy character select screen.)
- The graphics are hawt.
- Btw this game is completely free. There is a cash shop, however they plan to not sell anything game changing. They've stated numerous times that money does not buy power in this game.
