Yeah, that works for the majority of changes. Still, a topic like this is good for someone who changed their name early on and are known by that changed name, but then later changes it again so their account name is some old name no one remembers.

I've been going by ImmortalDreamer for a while now. Probably since around 2003/2004. At the start of it I just went by Immortal until I realized that it was a very common name and I should do something to make it different. I used to have an old account from 2004/2005 but I never used it and couldn't remember the password when I wanted to start posting again in 2006. Also, in my time before GW, I went by Dark_Gigas on a few different forums.

I've always been Mateui so I'm afraid I don't have any name change history, but instead of just ending my post with that I do have a question to ask the people who do change names frequently:

Do you get offended if people call you by your original name or one of your earlier login names? For example, I still see bazookatooth as panda, and Dan as UPRC and I feel more comfortable by holding onto their original names and referring to them as such because I associate them with those names, and it's just weird for me to have to "get to know them again" by a different name. However if people do get upset at that I'll try to use the new names - but I am curious as to how everybody feels about this.

I've always gone by this name since 1998.

I changed my name to SliceMage once due to an inside joke. Then it was changed back. But pretty much if you lost track of who I am, that's sad... Cause my name hasn't changed, ever.

Not at all. I prefer to be called VB or Sarah over #1 Dad.
