It's not really a continuation of the series, but rather a spin-off.

Apollo Justice continued the series, if anything.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to this one. Edgeworth is the best!
Upon arriving the attending doctor could find no abnormal physical symptoms other than extremely dilated pupils. After spending several hours terrified that his body had been possessed by a demon, that his next door neighbor was a witch, and that his furniture was threatening him, Dr. Hofmann feared he had become completely insane.

Speaking of continuing the series, from what I've read it sounds like we're getting this and PW5 (though no clue what the gap would be between them).  I wonder what's going to happen in that.

And speaking of that, does anyone know (no clue what that would really spoil I guess but just thought I'd be safe about it)

Yeah, a PW5 is apparently on the way, at least according to Court-Records.net.  I thought we were supposed to hear about it at Capcom's Gyakuten Saiban event but I guess that was mainly an appreciative event for the series with some tidbits of the Perfect Prosecutor game tossed in as well.

As for Maya, don't read if you haven't completed Trials and Tribulations:

I did finish T&T and Apollo Justice both, so that last sentence was my only concern.  I guess no one knows.

edit:  Speaking of court-records.net, this is an amazing find.

I sincerely hope that isn't Oldbag in the background there.

Going by what they've said on that site, she most certainly is there.

I just like that Edgeworth seems to be interrogating a dolphin.

This shit is aweeeeeeesome. I bet the dolphin can talk or.. maybe Edgeworth understands dolphin communication?
More of the blue badger has made my day, though.

I need to catch up with you twads.
Still on Justice For All.... :(

Oh my, did someone murder someone else wearing a BLUE BADGER costume? That is all kinds of awesome. And Edgeworth expands upon his Prosecuting and Investigating skills by adding in Dolphinspeak, haha.

Also, the final case in Justice For All is amazing. No matter what you think of the other 3, the last one is pretty much reason enough to play JFA.

Yeah, it was pretty much my favorite trial of all of them, all the way to the end.

Poor edgeworth, she must be stalking him.

On the subject of the Dolphin, Maybe we'll have something like the third case of Ace Attorney. (This time instead of a parrot, you call the dolphin to the stand.   :fogetmmh:)

I seriously hope these games aren't being milked for all their worth. Apollo Justice had above average cases... all up to the finale of the last one. If the games are on a downward tumble toward "trash", I'll be pretty sad! I'll have to wait and see on this one.

If anything, I'm actually kind of more interested in seeing how Pearl has grown up.  Shouldn't she be around Trucy's Age at that point? (give or take I suppose)

That's an interesting thought too, she should be somewhere between Trucy's age and Ema's age, I can't remember the actual timelines at the moment.  Probably closer to Trucy though.

The investigative features of this seem pretty different from the standard fare though, having Gumshoe as a sidekick pretty much guarantees this game can't be bad. Well, as long as they don't ruin the classic relationship between Gumshoe and Edgeworth.

Who can hate gumshoe anyway? :)

I just finally got around to playing PW:AA for the first time and I'm actually pretty impressed. Past all of the uh.. gay japanese shit, it's a pretty fun game. Especially since it's basically a fucking book.

I'm wondering if we get to see grown-up Pearl at all. The trailer showed old character art, including some people that should have been older now *coughCodyHackinscough*. On the other hand, I've heard people say this takes place during/after Apollo Justice.

I'm confused now.

This game in particular is just after T&T, from what I read.

I believe they were talking about the yet-to-be-really-confirmed fifth Ace Attorney game, which, logically, would be after Apollo Justice.

I just started playing Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, the very first one...and I have to say...

Fucking awesome game. I'll be playing all the others and waiting for this eventually. I'm in the middle of the second case right now though, and Miles in an asshole. Haha.
