I'm placing this here because if I posted it in Programming no one would see it, and I need a wide range of people to help anyways.

I'm in my last year of college and my computer science program requires us to complete a senior research class.  The point of the class is each student picks a topic that they are interested in, and they conduct research on it (Of course).  The problem is the course is only a semester long and it does not give you enough time to properly develop any sort of in depth research.  My topic was Procedural City Generation.  In short, I just generated some random terrains and placed some random buildings on that terrain in a way that makes it appear as if the city was actually designed with that terrain in mind.

I need you guys to download my project and complete the survey so I have some sort of "test" results.  The survey is only 3 questions and it should not take anymore than 5 minutes of your time (Download time included!), so please help me out.  Keep in mind, the point isn't to judge how PRETTY the city looks, but rather how well it seems to fit the terrain.  PLEASE PM ME THE ANSWERS TO THE SURVEY.  I ask this because I don't want people to be front loaded with any sort of information (In my not so scientific study).

Download

Thanks to those that help!

That is odd, I'm assuming you have all the latest DirectX crap.  Anyways, I'll look into it, but I am not at my house right now, so it'll have to wait.  Is anyone else getting any errors?

I don't know what kind of responses you are getting but in an effort to keep this bumped for a few days I'll say that I submitted my answers to you.

Thanks.  I would like some more responses, but this isn't the only forum I am asking at, so it is no big deal regardless.  I really would have like to make the project more elaborate, but since it was crammed into one semester, I only really got 1 month of development time.  My thesis paper is much more elaborate and when I complete it I am going to do a topic about it in programming.

That's odd, I have Vista as well and it worked just fine for me.

If you ever get the chance you should really make the camera mouse based.
I know having a good camera isn't part of your project, but I had a semi-hard time trying to look at the city.

Other then that I sent you my answers. (sorta)

For all of you that were having trouble getting it to run, I think I have isolated the problem.  So if you are still interested in helping me, or just want to let me know if I got it fixed, please try the above download again.  Thanks!
