A lot of super hero movies coming out this year and I'm surprised no one is talking about Hancock.

It's about Will Smith playing a alchoholic introverted super hero with no respect for authority or regards of his own strength.  His best friend or whatever suggests he pulls a "rapper" move by going to jail and as the city turns to shit they release him and he tries to reform.

Dumb plot but the movie looks absolutely hilarious and Smith is at his top when he's playing an asshole.  I love humorous action movies and this doesn't look nearly as ridiculous or stupid as my Super Ex-Girlfriend so shit, it's got me sold.

I want to see this madly.

Also, Super Ex Girlfriend was stupid as shit... The only good scene was the shark one.

oh wow how come i haven't heard of this. this looks really great, just the whole premise of a REAL GUY SUPERHERO. it's totally true that if an ordinary dude had superpowers he would probably be a total dick with them

the moment i saw this in the cinema i had to see it. It looks really funny and i like funny films so its all good in my opinion and i think Mr. smith plays humoures roles better then his serious roles

i had pretty much this exact frickin idea and now i can't do it cos will smith done it. well i hope it's good but it's will smith so i don't think it will be. it'll probably be entertaining in a really stupid and disappointing waste of an opportunity kind of way. unless old will pulls out a surprise!

i just watched the trailer and yeah this is pretty much what i feared it would be, i guess. it looks like haha he's an alkie until the reform and then it's just superhero bullshit. i'm gonna watch it, but i guess i was hoping it would be more serious and less generic.

I would be so much drunker than that if I was a super hero. It would be like Winston Churchill bending pipes.

Aw man, sony pictures is really pissing me off.

Apparently, the original script was GOLD and it was pretty "gritty."  The trailers make it look like a superhero comedy but it's actually more of an action/romance as the main character falls into an awkward relationship with the wife of the man who's trying to improve his image.  It was rated R by the MPAA twice and now they're resubmitting it with a bunch of scenes cut including drunk driving, Hancock drinking with a 12 year old, a rape scene, and bits of violence that were meant to enhance Hancock's character (the kid he punches originally falls back down bloody and ice is covering him or something).

God I hate this shit.  The director and producer want to keep the script unchanged and normally the producer has a huge input in the direction of the film but the actual production/distribution guys at Sony are putting their foot down saying this HAS TO BE pg-13 or else it will instantly fail in the box office.

This is why I hate fucking summers.  Nothing but generic overpaid shit and family films.  You always have to wait until fall for the good films to come out.

You know what I like about all Will Smith Movies? they are all at least watchable. So I'm gonig to see this because will smith makes me laugh, I really don't care if its some "awsome movie" I just enjoy seeing will smith act.

I'll be watching this even though I think the end when he gets less drunk and more, well, superhero, will kind of suck. But hey the rest looks like good times.
