Could you kill someone for money, is their a big enough price for you to take someones life? To expand on this.. Would it really matter to you if the person you were to kill was someone of a horrible nature, would that make it any easier for you in any way?

To be honest if the price were right and the person I had to kill was someone like a pedophile or rapist then I probably would end his/her life, if it was just self defense I probably couldn't handle it, seeing that image of what I'd done would possibly drive me to suicide in the end.

Say someone did something disgusting or vile to you would you take the life of the person who did those things, even though he/she had done them in some way would you think death for them be to easy and to hard on you?

I hope that made sense?

Is this supposed to be a topic?
EDIT: okay, looks like you've edited your post and provided some more INFO.

Well, I'll give it a shot. No, I couldn't kill someone for money. I don't think anyone here would be capable of doing that. Even if you ignore for a moment the fact it's not very easy to kill someone and get away with it (I'm assuming this is the point since you're asking us to make a consideration on moralistic grounds rather than a rational grounds) you still have to decide that you're going to take the light out of someone's eyes for the purpose of being able to buy a big plasma TV.

What would have a bigger impact on your happiness: being able to buy a big TV or knowing that you've taken away someone's life and enjoyment thereof?

If they were a disgusting human being and I could get away with the crime I would consider it.

Realisticially I'd say I never would as I don't think I would ever feel right about doing it, especially for money.

However if they were a horrible person like a pedo or some shit then I might be forced to just to save the other person. Like if I could go back in time and had the opportunity to kill hitler would I? Yup.

i wouldn't do it for money because that's sort of disgusting but i'm pretty positive i could kill a guy if he did something awful enough and it affected me personally.  i think BEING CAUGHT is actually what deters a lot of people from killing, more than the "c...could i take a life??" thing.  like i said, i feel like i'm fairly capable of doing it and i don't really get people who say they never could be, but who knows, maybe it's just in you or it isn't.  but yeah i feel like i could but probably would never realistically consider it an option because it's like impossible to get away with and i can't really imagine a situation in which i'd think it was worth completely destroying my life over.

I don't think I could to be honest.  I mean, I could say I could but if it came down to it that's a whole different issue.  However, I know for sure I couldn't do something like that for money as that really isn't me.  Even if I were desperate for it I know there is no way I could take another life for cash.  I suppose I could be on board with Lars said though, depending on the situation; I could try but can't guarantee the results. :P

I think the only way I "might" be compelled to take another life is if my own life were in danger or the life of someone close to me like family for instance; but even then I think I would prefer to simply beat the crap out of them and actually hesitate on the actual act of potentially taking their life.  It's a hard question to answer, one of those things where you can say "oh, I'd do that shit like no other!" but then if it came down to it, would you really be able to?

Killing someone doesn't even have to be with a knife while carving out their insides, or something... it could be as simple as hiring someone to do it.  You wouldn't get your hands dirty at all, and I doubt there are many people here who wouldn't consider doing that if they had a strong reason to.

I'm gonna have to agree with what headphonics said, though...I'm sure everyone (except maybe Gandhi and Jesus) has a limit and would probably kill under certain circumstances.  Even though I'm a non-violent person, I'd do it if I had a strong enough conviction.
(It would have to be a damn good reason)

Of course, all I need to do is to shoot them twice in the head with a .22 LR

Noo, I don't think so. I don't think other people would like me if I were a hitman.
Play Raimond Ex (if you haven't already)

I would if it was to protect an innocent.

No... I would NOT kill some random person for any amount of money. That's disgusting.

I'd still be skeptical of even that as while you aren't the one committing the act you would still essentially be the reason why another person is killed.  I dunno, to me the act in either sense would weight the most on my conscience simply for being a directy element in why someone was killed.

hasn't there been a thread similar to this before?

I would kill a man for 1,000,000$, I think hitmen run for lower then that I don't really know because I'm not a hitman....or am I? hmmm.... I'm going to have to run some tests. I hope I don't turn out to be a hitman I'm going to have to call my girlfriend and tell her she needs to get tested too.

And don't say I have a disregard for human life because of my silly teenager antics, I have empathy for most people I don't think of dying as "Bam your dead! Bam your dead! Bam your dead! Bam your also dead!" I could imagine dying slowly in a car wreck or getting shot 6 times in the chest, And no one has the right to judge who lives or dies, No one. But in the world that exists the only right and wrong is what mankind says is right or wrong, Maybe from another civilizations stand point, where the backward ones. And what's the difference between taking another human's life and the life of a plant or insect or another animal? Because we say that were more intelligent? I don't see walrus's having wars and causing the earth to pretty much turn into a second mars slowly. So yes I would kill another human being for a large sum of cash for what ever reason I needed the cash for if I needed it.

This is bizarrely funny because me and my roommate Matt have lived with this guy named John for the past few months, and we occasionally throw out the question, "So, how are we killing John?" because he is such an awkward and creepy guy.

Sometimes he'll walk out of his room, stand in the doorway, and just watch us when we're on our laptops.

It would be a ridiculous thing to kill someone because of something like this, though, and even if someone was a terrible criminal I'd hesitate to kill in cold blood. There simply is no justification for taking someone's life.

Also congrats Achiro you win at being a heartless human being.
