Tomorrow I'll be leaving on a five week tour with my dad's band.  I'm doing mostly the same stuff I did last time; roadie, drum tech, merchandise, and this time I'm also doing the pedal steel guitar setup.  This tour is going to be twice as long as the last one and will take us all the way to the west coast and back.  It sounds like it's going to be a lot of: Arrive, set up show, play show, pack up show, drive overnight, arrive, set up show, play show, etc.  Which is good because the band be able to play more shows and make more money that way.

I'll be bringing a laptop with me to do some writing and internet browsing on, but I won't be idling on irc while I'm gone.  I'll still be around for the Children's story contest and I'll be updating my ongoing short story as I write the chapters but I doubt I'll be very active apart from that as I don't really know where and when I'll have internet access.

Hopefully this time I don't get approached by 40 year old mothers and get asked to dance with them..

The band is Prairie Oyster.  And yeah, should be a lot of fun.
