Hey thar!

For a while now, I've had this website, www.team3soft.com, and I've transformed it into a programming and game development community. It's got links to projects of mine and/or my friends, as well as news and updates.

Also on the website is a message board, which is part of the community. It's mainly for programming or game development talk, but it is also used to discuss music and literature, video games and consoles, or your general information.

Anyways, it's a small community right now, and it would be great to have some of you take a look, join, or critique my ideas. I'm hoping to make this a fairly large community someday.

Well, I'll also be hosting select projects for FREE using my web space. All you have to do is send me your project through e-mail ([email protected]) as well as a short description. If I find it to my liking, or if I'm just interested in how your project will go, I'll host it for free. If it's good enough, I'll add a page to my website about it.

Anyways, take a peek and let me know what you think. The only members so far are my webfriends, due to lack of advertisement, so I feel that if I get the URL and name out there a bit more, it may grow to be quite the site ;)

Have fun, and reviews are greatly appreciated. As well as constructive criticism.

Thanks,
~Sabbath

So basically, it sounds like you're just making the same thing as GW.  I looked at some of your stuff and it seems alright, but you may consider adding some screenshots.  When you're talking about XRPG as a new flexible RPG Maker, it'd be nice to SHOW what it does.  Your layout is kind of ugly too, just as a note -- black background with high contrast, bright colors for fonts and the like.

Mkay. Thanks.

And XRPG has been discontinued... :(

Sorry. I might add some screenshots later, though. Depends on if I feel like doing so, since it is an old project. If anyone is interested in the source, it's up for grabs.

What language did you programmed it in?

could you share me the source code.. I'm learning programming.

DIT:
BTW, I tried xrpg, and well it's not really much, just setting stuff here and there to modify the automatically generated battle scene.

Yes, XRPG was in its early stages, but it's still got some life in it, I suppose.

It's in Basic4GL (www.Basic4GL.net) so it's a mix of OpenGL and BASIC.

EDIT:

Sent the source via PM in CODE tags. Have fun. The code isn't much but it will teach you how to start off on making a simple RPG making utility. Hopefully, anyways.

Hmm...at the moment it just looks like all you've got is a little bit of information on your maker and the message boards.  Most users are going to need a reason to visit your site in the first place so maybe you should look into that first.  If you've decided to cancel your maker why not post up some tutorials using bits of your source code to teach people possible ways of creating a maker.

As for the layout, it's not particularly great.  If creating layouts aren't your thing then there's a ton of websites where you can download free templates.  Might just make it look that little bit more inviting.

Okay, sounds like something I could try. I will be updating my layout within a few days, and the layout is like it is right now mainly because I haven't been able to find the time to update it.

I've been piddling around in the message boards for a while, trying to fix some problems with avatars and whatnot, but now it's time to focus on the frontpage.

Thanks for the compliments and advice so far, everyone ;)
