Exactly. Just want don't you "get" about it? Kid Icarus deserves a sequel/remake more than any other game in history.

or kid icarus was just kind of par for the course (I never understood why he was on Captain N's team ) and having a sequel for a game most people did not really play is not exactly BEST NEWS EVER.

Kid Icarus was great!  I mean, you could shoot UPWARDS!  (Unlike a certain "mega" man  -- why didn't Dr. Light install a rotatable shoulder socket?  I mean, really.)

Dr. Light: "There ya go, Megaman!  You have a uber-powerful arm buster cannon that can absorb enemy attacks, hydrolic presses in your legs so you can just 16 feet in the air, the ability to teleport, and exo-fiberous armor!"

Megaman: "Sweet ass!  Can I aim up, too?"

Dr. Light: "...uh.....no."

i mostly just didnt get the significance of kid icarus, that's all.  he didn't say "I WOULD LOVE TO SEE A KID ICARUS SEQUEL" (I am sure there are some people that would), he said "BEST NEWS THE GAME INDUSTRY HAS HEARD IN A DECADE" and "KID ICARUS DESERVES A SEQUEL/REMAKE MORE THAN ANY OTHER GAME IN HISTORY."

i was curious as to what kid icarus so great (or more specifically, so NOTEWORTHY or whatever).  i guess i could have chalked it up to stupid fanboy hyperbole (BEST NEWS EVER) but I thought he was being serious.  the only things i remember about kid icarus are having to shoot directly upwards in that room where all the mirrors are falling down (that's kid icarus right??) and the movement being really weird.  like, when you press left or right you take more than one step, and it's uninterruptable.  it's kind of annoying.
