Holy shit all RTS'es look the same. The only thing that differs that game from AoE3 / Rise of Nations 2 / Battle for Middle Earth / Settlers 4 is the goddamn menu.

It's actually a little scary how much that interface looks like an upgraded version from one of the Warcrafts. The graphics seem to be way higher res than WC3, though.

-_- I'd be gently mocking you for posting that, what with it being the name in the screenshot, except that it looks so much like Warcraft 3 that it's entirely possible that Rowain is just screwing with our heads with that name. And I guess the screen would just be from a higher resolution than I played in.

armies of exigo

http://www.blackholegames.com/aoxsite/m2_0.html official game site confirms.

Shadowtext: Yes the game IS a complete rip-off of WC3.

Just like Kingdom Under Fire was the total rip-off of WC2.

It's a half decent game and HUGE HUGE MASSIVE rip off of WC3. And yes, it is Armies of Exigo. I renamed it as a joke because it was such a WC3 rip off. I give it some credit because there are above and below ground sections that meet up but they aren't nearly as "strategic" as the developers would want you to believe. The graphics are solid, and the singleplayer is LONG. 3 races with like 12+ missions per race and each mission can take awhile. The funniest thing was just how much they stole from Warcraft. The races are the human alliance, the horde (beast races like trolls and ogres) and the Fallen which rip off the zerg and protoss and undead simultaneously. The story was sort of nonsense too.

It also had some very gay bugs that were never fixed because the game sold like garbage. The biggest bug was that the AI would randomly fail at the start of missions and so the AI players would never build anything. So you'd go for an hour after the mission starts wondering why they haven't attacked only to arrive at their base and find all their units standing idle in their start positions.

God I loath this game. But then again, I hate all games of this kind.

Sensible World of Soccer.

I don't know if this was intentional or not, but it's in the screenshot Cyberg-Ares!
"Field Marshal Haig is about to make yet another gargantuan effort to move his drinks cabinet six inches close to Berlin."

Sam: "What assurance do you give, Taraka, that this bargain will be kept?"
Taraka: "My word? I shall be happy to swear by anything you care to name--"
Sam: "A facility with oaths is not the most reassuring quality in a bargainer..."

Heh, no didn't notice that :) Actually, I thought the game was just Sensible Soccer. Or are there both a sensible soccer and a sensible world of soccer, that looks like this?

Anyway, totally confirmed.

I'm giving it to Rowain because he is a cool guy (and I can't be arsed to dig up an awesome game right now)!

And they never patched this...

Either way, this is really dissapointing. Why can't games with good graphics ever have gameplay to match ( excluding Oblivion ).

Just the same... that would probably explain why I haven't heard of it until this thread.

Shadow of the Colossus? God of War? Resident Evil 4?

Come on now.

I feel guilty here taking a turn from 4Dsheep so someone else should take it instead.
