Only $400-500 more? Yes, exactly... You're now basically saying "I don't care to pay twice as much" when before you said you didn't want to shell out a huge amount...
In short, I'm saying that a 24" is perfectly fine for seeing from 4-6 feet away...
As for brands... Just don't get Sony or AOC because they both suck major balls... And for anything else, just be sure to check the specs thoroughly.
You might want to take a look at the LG Scarlet series, for example...
I never said that. I said I don't want to pay more than around $1200. That 400-500 more is based on $600, thus, around $1000-$1100. Get it?
See first post:
This site ships to Canada too, the total cost would be about $1240, shipping included, which is about the most I'd like to spend.
Also, again, I will be sitting 9-10 feet away, maybe more. I've even measured out distances in the room I'm putting this, it could be as many as 12. A 24" monitor
just isn't what I'm looking for! I'm not saying it's a BAD option, especially not if you're only 4 feet away from it, ie leaning back from your desk, but it will not be what I want in this room. I appreciate the suggestion, it's just not for me.
Edit: Here, this is my point:
http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3728682&CatId=2775This is a similar monitor to the one crumply has suggested. Notice the price BEFORE taxes and shipping. After taxes and shipping to my home, it is $910. Now take the TVs I linked to in my first post. After shipping (no taxes because it's an American site), they are only ~$1250, give or take. That's a little over 300 dollars difference. I'm more than willing to pay that for the size bonus, especially where I don't want to use it for both my PC and game console.
