When I was really young when we came back from our christmas holidays in Montreal we found our lock to be broken. When we went inside a lot of stuff had been stolen. Hell, they even stole some meat that we had downstairs (we're the type of people to buy a big piece of meat, cut it in pieces and then put it in the freezer) and at that time it was something that my grand father brought back form hunting I believe. We also lived in a small town and never found out who did it... Never been BURGLED (fucking brits) since then

The apartment I used to live at, I was robbed the morning after I moved in.
Got a lot of my shit in the night of our move-in, and got up early the next morning to go get more. We come back and I notice the door  unlocked ("Strange," I thought!). I walk in and mine and my roommate's MacBooks were gone, along with my Xbox 360. The window screen had been pulled off and placed next to the window, and the window was pried open so they could reach over and unlock the door (we changed to dual-locking doors after this, with no handle for the bolt).
It's also pretty awesome they missed the giant box labelled "VIDEO GAMES" and instead of picking up my neatly packaged Xbox360 and games, they ripped the (already open) box open and took the contents from inside.

Someone has broken into my car two times now in the last two weeks and it's been in the same parking lot of the community college I go to summer school at.

It's weird, they didn't take anything. It's almost like they were just looking for something in paticular. I had let my iPod in the middle compartment but they didn't even take it. They just rustled around a bunch of papers, looked through my glove compartment, threw around a bunch of CDs, etc.

Yeaster, when someone steals something from you and you know who it is, the easiest (and most hilarious) thing to do is to steal it back.

If I knew where exactly he lived at, I definitely would've stolen my shit back. He was probably with someone who was older and taller, 'cuz I doubt he could've carried all of that by himself.

Hmmm... It could've been someone who knows you...  :hmm:

That's what I was a little worried about, but I don't know anyone there barring the people who are in class at the same time as me (I only go to that school during the summer, otherwise I go to ASU). I'm done with my term there though, so hopefully none of this weird shit happens again.

I was robbed twice, the first time they walked right in and took a sword, we (me and my dad) hunted him down and got it back though. The sceond time some ex-coworkers took all the dvd's, games, PS2, computer, and important financial documents for my fathers own company (all of it). We knew it was our ex coworkers whom didn't know a got dang thing about running a company, but we couldn't touch em'. We got enough evidence to sue them, but I moved back to my old home so I don't know what the situation is anymore,

Ironically they didn't bother to steal all the priceless things we had in the house, didn't know the difference between 50 bucks and 2k.

The reason it was so easy to sneak into the house was because it was big, and when theres noises all over it's easy to go around undetected. After that I decided it was best to have a very territorial dog.

Also signs of nothing being stolen but breaking and entering, theres a good chance your being watched/stalked/monitered. Also a good hint that your being watched is when your windows frames are reversed to allow easy access from the outside and when bizarre stuff happens like having a shovel on the roof (I still can't believe my neighber didn't notice his lost shovel was on his roof).

A tool is a tool regardless. I mean if you suck, you suck, and not even the most perfect tool could save you. And if your damn good then even with the worst tool ever conceived you could chug out some high quality shit.

I remember that we were robbed many years ago... I am not clear on all the details epecially all that was really stolen (the only thing of mine was a crappy camera) my mom said a video camera, some movies, some jewelry or something was taken. My sister happened on the scene with a little girl she was babysitting. She said that the door was knocked down (it was a big heavy half metal half wood door) and that someone came out... now this is another unclear part (since it's been so long and I did hear it second hand) my sister said either someone came to her gunpoint or she could have been happened on at gunpoint. She was terrified, and called the police and my mom.

So I don't really know the whole story, but theft occurs often, even in small towns.

Sorry to hear that. The one time I was robbed (well, mugged), my wallet was stolen and I lost about $50. Which isn't that bad...It's just the items with have sentimental attachments that really matter.
