Name the city/town/etc. in which you live and some cool things about it like people from there or events which happened that are notable.

I live in Cumberland, MD.

William H. Macy was raised here (and was class of 1968 at my high school)
The creator of Dr. McNinja is from here (and also, the city is Dr. McNinja's hometown)
Eddie Deezen (Eugene from Grease and Mandark of Dexter's Lab) is from here, also went to my high school
The guitarist of Circa Survive lives right next door to me. (Well he used to, but his mom still does, in fact I just saw him ten minutes ago)
My high school's homecoming football game, according to cable network Versus, is apparently the 6th biggest football rivalry in the country, and NFL films filmed the most recent homecoming.
Ty Pennington of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition filmed downtown here the other day
The city was mentioned on the original Night of the Living Dead.

For a town of roughly 20,000, it's an impressive list.

Durham has Europe's worst nightclub: Klute. It was voted number 2 but the number 1 has since been the victim of arson.

We have a huge fuck off Cathedral.

I like Halifax because it's a smaller city with a unique feel to it. It has the urban look, but it has a more relaxed atmosphere and it's nice.. We have an impressive harbour, a rich history, and man.. Can't forget the restaurants. I think I heard on the radio that Halifax is one of the best places in Canada to eat in.

Also, Halifax being small really works for me, because it allows me to walk to work in a relatively short period of time.

My school (not telling you where it is exactly but its in the UK and I live 1-2 miles away so it counts as my area) is famous for being the birthplace of Lara Croft. Also, Stone Roses singer went to my school (his son does now, he was in a few of my classess)

I'm from Almonte, Ontario. Birthplace of the inventor of basketball, James Naismith, and the former Ice Cream Capital of Ontario (until the Peterson's Ice Cream Factory closed down, now its just kind of like any other town in the Ottawa Valley.)

We produced Marillion (which is always cool, and they sung a song about the Market square), we have famous DUCKS(aylesbury duck... world renouned) and two London Bombers (one failed, one successful, and also one of the key terrorist recruitment plces is OUR VERY OWN PRISON), we have one of England's ugliest buildings (I actually quite like it), Judge John Deed and the scene in Clockwork Orange where the old man was attacked were filmed here.
Ugh seriously this town is gay. Like the Marillion thing is cool, but regular stabbings and annual race riots (and daily drug raids) kinda wear it down.
I know this is POST INTERESTING THINGS but fuck it I just gave you everything ever notable that has something to do with Aylesbury.
